2011 in Review

So, it’s been a crazy year-welcome 2012! I know it’s been a while, but here are my site stats for the whole year!

WordPress put together a lovely presentation for public use-if you see yourself anywhere here, you have my thanks!

A very happy Magykgirl08

p.s I would follow the purple link at the bottom if I were you!

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,600 times in 2011. If it were a cable car, it would take about 27 trips to carry that many people.

Chicago 2, Yet Another Windy Day, and Wisconsin Sports

Hello, people!

It’s a very windy day today. We got a new nanny, Tereza, and we took her around today. We went to Jacob’s swim class, only to realize there wasn’t any swim classes. THAT was fun. We went back home, where we re-grouped and went to the library, which, by the way, is one of my favorite places in Milwaukee. After that, I put my mediocre cooking skills to good use and made some mac and cheese. (Without the mix) Obviously I’m very proud.

I had some pictures Lily took that I didn’t show from Chicago. Here are some Mom/Lily/Me favorites:

(That’s not me at my best moment, btw)

Next:

(From Steve Job’s memorial)

Anyway, this week has been busy, and next week is even busier! I wanna give a shout out to my friend Marika’s Birthday! (Sorry it’s late, Mar)

Like I said earlier, it’s been windy. I spent a lot of time this morning trying to make my hair all brushed and flat. I went outside, and WHOOSH all that hair was suddenly on the other side of my head.

I’ve decided to sum up today’s minipost with a video I found funny(And mom found extremely funny)

-Magykgirl08

P.S Wait! You might be saying, Magykgirl, you forgot about sports in Wisconsin! I don’t actually know anything about that, except there’s some sort of game tomorrow and everyone’s excited. Lovely.

Great Hair, Broken Spirit

Hello, people.

For those of you who knew this post was coming, sorry for the delay. WordPress has been doing some things here or there which means I can’t post a draft in some format, yadadadadyada.

I wanna introduce youtube’s next magnificent star, my Aunt.

I thought it was pretty cute. Her expression is really funny. She looks like she’s holding her baby.

It’s been a messed up week with holidays, Steve Jobs’ sudden disappearance, and the wonderful taste of sweet cugel.

We went to Chicago during our extra day off. Lily took plenty of pictures, but I’m going to post my favorites:

Notice the awestruck faces in the last photo? That’s the Fetherstons in the LEGO store. I didn’t quite get it, but they looked like they were having fun.

Legos, only for a few hundred dollars, you could have a brand new piece of plastic not much bigger than my arm. Yay!

Chicago, in my opinion, is a very pretty and busy city. We got there in the evening time, so the sky was pretty, and of course, it smelled really bad from rush hour, and we got caught in a lot of traffic.

Some of you may be asking, why did you go to Chicago? We went because Mom and Dad got us and the Fetherstons tickets to see Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, the radio news show from NPR. It was hilarious, and we sat there for three hours with a lot of laughing. Later, we went out to rock bottom. Then, we went back to our hotel, where we slept. Surprising! Anyway, Mom and Dad went home, and we stayed to walk around Chicago with the Fetherstons.

Lily took some really amazing pictures, so ask her when you see her, or check her blog:

Friends in Unusual Places, Picture Day, and Backwards Weather

Hey, people!

I stumbled on this post last night, and Mom and I fake sobbed for a few moments:

Me: “Your tracking number. All of our parcels have tracking numbers which the sender can give you if you do not have it.”

Customer: “So, who did then?”
Me: “Sir, do you not know who sent you the item?”
Customer: “No, but my neighbor just had something delivered and I want one too. So send me something now!”

Me: “Sir, are you okay?”
Customer: “I’m so lonely and I just wanted to get a present!”*more sobbing*
Customer: “I’m so lonely!”

Customer: “Never mind, I’ll go now…”
Me: “Sir…wait. We do have a parcel for you. I just need to confirm your address to send it to you. It will be there this afternoon!”
(After he gives me his address, I have a quick whip around the call center and we get a card signed by the team, put in a few chocolate bars with other happy bits and pieces, and send it to him. He calls the next day and thanks us all. Now, he rings once a week on average, and we are all happy to chat with him.)
I hate picture day. It’s a pretty strong statement, but I’m pretty sure I share that feeling with plenty of other teenagers. Does picture day sound like fun? No. Does it sound like it has a little bit of hope glimmering at the end of the faraway tunnel? No. It’s going to be a very long day.
The weather has been wacky this week. Instead of coming from the west, it’s swinging back from the east. Yesterday at the bus stop was not fun.
This week is Rosh Hashanna, or the Jewish new year. We’re supposed to put a lot of thought into this next week, and I hope I do. Of course, I also like the apples and the honey, but that’s different. In class, we’re studying the era after Reconstruction. Our teachers together assigned a very sad amount of homework. Lily and I worked all day and barely got it done. Anyway.
On Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa took us to the symphony. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. We went out to a very nice restaurant that I can’t spell ( I tried, Grandma!) It was so goooooooood. I had Creme Brulee, and Lily had chocolate cake. (Lily still has the bread from the table)
Sadly, it is almost time for us to go.
Me: Lily tell me something funny so I can put it on my blog
Lily: Ummmmmm
Me: C’mon. I need something funny.
Lily; (With her hand next to my face) Can you SMELL ME???????
Me: (Eyes wide)
It’s time to go, but here is one parting line:
Lily: Au Revoir, Don’t eat the shampoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday Mornings, Crystal Instruments, and Cold Days

Hello, people!

This week was very cold- I’ve been wearing a jacket for most of it. Lily’s jackets don’t really fit anymore, hence this conversation we had earlier this morning:

Lily: Ugh, my jacket doesn’t fit!

Me: Wow. (Her jacket was up to her elbows it was so short!)

Me: Mom! Lily’s jacket doesn’t fit!

Mom: Which one?

Lily: The green one.

Mom: Get out!

Me: Yep.

Lily: Does this mean I have to get a new jacket?

Mom: Yes. (Big sigh)

As you can see, it was a pretty quiet morning other than that. I’ve been wandering around the house for most of the day. Eva left yesterday, and it’s just kind of empty. We all kind of spiral downwards when she’s gone. it;s creepy. She organized our pantry! Have you SEEN our pantry? Eva called just a few minutes ago, and Lily is talking to her right now. I’ve got a sleepover party tonight at a friend’s house, and that’ll be fun. Apparently I need a foofy dress.  I don’t have a foofy dress. This obviously is going to be a problem. I also found this funny post online a few days ago, and thought it was funny:

Now Snape approves of our morning as well. Mom thought that was hilarious.

Dad’s coming home today from Bourbon Fest. We’ll pick him up soon. I also found another picture that was funny, for those who get it:

tumblr_lrbqwaYBEZ1qdzlu6o1_500

And for those who still don’t quite get it:

(from the hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy)

It’s been a very cold week, as I said earlier. It’s only September!!!!!

I only have one thing to show you guys:

Volume Warning: Real crystal isn’t a quiet instrument. You might wanna turn down your volume before you watch it.

The Marvelous Adventures of Magykgirl08

Hey, People!

So many days have passed-it’s been a while since I last posted and it makes me sad. I like to keep up with everything, so I’m going to keep going on with the posts this time.

I’ve had quite a few weeks-lots of stuff! Michelle (Our new nanny) Is making fried chicken and it smells wonderful!!!!!!:) We started school three weeks ago, and it’s been interesting. Notice how I(And lots of other people) Use interesting as a very broad descriptor. I wonder why. We have a very nice home room teacher- and Ethan, Collin’s little brother is at Wedgewood too. There’s already posters up about drama, news crew, and it all seems to be going a little fast for me.

I’m sure you guys have already heard about all the terrors strikings against mankind. Irene, Earthquakes, Michelle Bachman. Also, larger than all that, our cherry tree fell down. Yep, we woke up Sunday Morning quite surprised. Thankfully, hardly anything was damaged (Except the apple tree next to it) We had our rummage sale on Saturday, and got rid of quite a lot of junk. Jacob bought himself a big fluffy stuffed dog which we promptly named, you guessed it, FLUFFY. It’s biggggggg. And, you guessed again, Fluffy! Jacob had to give it some emergency surgery (with help from Eva)

It’s cold again today, which means jackets and jeans! There’s a kid on my bus who insists he’s going to wear the shorts the whole year round. I don’t know, maybe he’s new to Milwaukee? He’s going to be wearing pants pretty fast.

I have school now, because I’ve been editing this post in halves, and today is a new day! Time to get up, go to school, go to work, and try your hardest not to fall asleep!

I’ve been online for a few days now, and found this video. There’s a lot of debate about if it’s alive, can it feel anything, are the legs moving just muscle spasms?(Warning, for the faint of heart, please do not watch this video)

There’s been almost three hundred comments about this. What do you think?

Gotta go pick up clothes,

Our Epic Return: Camp, Rebecca Black (Why does this chick keep popping up?) and and Epic Flute Solo

Hey, people! It’s been a little over a month. We’ve been off at camp, but sadly didn’t take photos. However, other people did. We will most likely show you later, if I can figure out how to.  Camp was one of the best experiences of my life and even though I’m glad I’m home, I wish I could have stayed there. I made lots of friends, and grew closer than normal friends would. Some of the activities I did were Archery(Which I used a twenty pullback Internature TD bow) which was fun. I was third best in my group of ten or so, which made me proud. I also had Waterskiing, which was so much fun, I can’t even describe it. One of the funnest things I’ve done in a while. I also had Ropes course, which I finished, and Glee. In glee, we sang a version of Hey Soul Sister, but that was it. I was in Cabin Dan, the furthest cabin away, with about 9 girls. We had 2 British counselors, which was interesting. Anyway, next.

Rebecca Black released a new (Autotuned, voice altered) single called My Moment. Right now, it’s about tied in votes with who hates it and who likes it. She’s kind of making a comeback, and there’s been some whispers of her doing a duet with Justin Bieber. (I think I’m going to hurl) Anyways, she’s a little freaky.

While I was on the web, I was looking for neutral news to share. I found an epic flute solo. As you may know, I play the flute, but I am nowhere near as good as this guy. I was in awe as I watched this:

Some might question him doing this with no shirt on, and I did too. (It’s kinda a weird combo, no shirt, and a flute) But maybe it was hot, and let me tell you, playing flute in the hot, burning sun is not fun (I’ve done it)

Well, today we’re going out to the Lakehouse with our friend Oscar. It’ll be fun. Tomorrow we’re going to see Harry Potter in 3D. It’s a fun weekend.

In The Future: Camping, Camp, Bipolar Weather, and Who Knew Noodles Were Flammable?

Hello, people!

It’s been a busy week-doing nothing. We had a beautiful heat wave for the first few days, went to the beach, had a water fight, burned alive, etc. It was a fun week. Well, I have received potential news that we might be going camping this weekend with Zuzu and Unca Peek, beloved commentators of the Magykgirl08 Network. Since our parents Don’t Camp, this is our first opportunity to seriously camp. Yeah, we’re not outdoorsy, but that’s not our fault. We’ve been sheltered by humanity all our life. Never have we ever camped for real. Here’s how my conversation with Lily went:

Me: How do you feel about camping for the first time?

Lily: Heartbroken.

Me: Care to explain yourself?

Lily: I want to kill a squirrel and eat it.

Me: -Awkward, disturbed silence-

Lily: No, seriously, I’m just excited.

Me: Ah. Haha. Okay.

As you can see, at 11 am in the morning, Lily’s a little loopy. Well, onto our next topic. We’re going to camp, and we’re super excited. It’s stay away camp, so we are parent free for a month, and they are child free for a month. Who’s going to be happier, do you think? I can guess. :) We’re really excited, and I think I can speak for Lily when I say it’s going to be a fun summer.

Our weather has been wacky for a week. For Monday through Wednesday, we had highs in the 90s and were all dying. Wednesday night comes around with some huge storms, which overflowed our rain barrel. We had on and off lightning for the rest of the night. We watched America’s got Talent, and did anyone else see that video with the Bieber-Girl??? Here it is:

(Sorry about the syncing, Youtube is not my friend)

So, as I was pondering today’s post, I was making myself some soup, and wanted to add noodles. I brought the water to a boil, and slid the noodles into the pot. Sadly, I didn’t watch them, and I soon started to smell something burning. It turns out the noodles were on fire. I have learned now that I will probably never cook, but at least I know that noodles are flammable.

Well, I gotta go, can’t guarantee posts while at camp, or the days leading up to it. See you soon,

P.S Hello to hatman and trombone shorty as well!

It’s FREEZING out.

Howdy!

It was very freezing out today.

Sometimes it goes below zero.

Crazy, isn’t it? Just beginning November and we’re already freezing cold. I mean COME ON.

Who likes really cold weather????    Nobody??   Just as I thought! Stay warm my friends!

Colds and how they go around

Hi there,

This time I’m posting about colds, as there are many going around in every household.

Number One:  DON’T COUGH ON ANYONE!!!

Number Two: DON’T GET COUGHED ON!!!!!!!

If someone coughs on you, wash your hands!!!!! If you don’t, you’re bound to touch your mouth and get the cold in you, giving you the cough and the sneeze.

DON’T PASS OR GET COLDS, AND YOU WILL BE COLD FREE!!

-Magykgirl08

P.S Sorry about no picture! Google wouldn’t give me it!

How To Stay Warm While Saving The World

Hi,

Well, the first thing to do is look at this list:

1. If you are cold, put on a sweater, don’t turn up the heat.

2. Block all windows and holes and put up curtains. This helps keep the air warm.

3. Pay attention to the news. They can tell you how to dress for the day, and they sometimes sugggest things for your benefit.

4. Sleep with blankets and wear warm bed clothes.

5. Wear slippers and long sleeves. This helps you get to sleep easier.

I usually wear warm clothes and sleep under four blankets. :)

That’s all I have today, but keep checking!

-Magykgirl08

Plankton

Hi! It’s me again.

Did you know that Plankton (Not the Sponge Bob thing) are very cool?

They have many different features. Like one has four legs. The other has none.

I went to a science show the other day called Science Bag.

The children got Plankton, and I got five.

I named the big brown one Speck, the light brown one Spock, the three white ones the Three Speickies.

I know, funny names.

Google, once AGAIN did not give me my picture, but trust me, I tried.

News Now

This is something called News Now.
I’ll tell you the daily news:
Illinois Governor Blagojevich was charged and thrown into jail early Tuesday morning for trying to bribe and sell off former Senator Obama’s seat.
Things he tried to sell it for:
1. Money
2. Favors
3. A better job for his wife
He is claiming he didn’t do it, but all the evidence is against him.
Jese Jackson Jr. was candidate #5. It was unclear what his role was, but he said he did NOT try to buy the seat.
This was News Now, so see you tomorrow!

Check back tomorrow for more news.

I Learned How To Add Games!

It’s breaking news, people! I just found out how to add a game I like to my blog! I don’t know about you, but to me, that’s awesome! I love these kinds of things. I tried to post the game, so let’s see if it loads right! All you have to do is click the little red button that says(in this case) “Gateway”

Harry Potter Rip-off

Harry Potter 6 was about to come out around now.
The Rip-offy part was that the movie got moved to spring, JUST because the Actors got so grown-up they had to find new ones, or at least, so I heard. My sister and my parents and even myself were all ready to see Harry Potter; The Half-Blood Prince but NOOOOO. They had to move it into spring! We were SO upset. How would you like your favorite movie moved back into spring? AND it was my birthday around the time it was supposed to come out, and my Dad was going to take Me and my Sister. Darn it! I hate Publishing issues!

Chassi-Disco-Fever

Hi!
Well, for the Jewish folks out there, this is a newbie.
There is a disco set of songs called “Chasi Disco” which is a normal group of songs, but it is actually all in Hebrew. (Not the Beer) My Grandmother has a record of it, but we didn’t have a player, so Mom found a great deal on a Record to CD transfer box (On sale, 100$, a great price!). So we spent the Saturday afternoon transferring all their old records. Grandma came over with Chasi-Disco fever, and Mom burned the disc straight from the computer. Me and my sister and my brother went upstairs and discoed ’till the night wore old. Great party!

Well, most of you know I just went to Mexico, and I did many fun activities. I have some pictures from where we stayed:
I have a link to pictures on a website.
Sorry! But no pictures of anyone, this being the internet and who knows what could happen… Anyway. Just click the little thing that says “Marival” and you will be shown some pictures of where I stayed. Check all nine pages out.

My Guppies!!!!!

Well, I just got two BEAUTIFUL blue fan tail guppies. One is named Artemis and the other Achilles. The male sadly died on the 4th day living with me. Two days later, the female gave birth to 11 baby guppies and passed away the following morning. I now have nothing to do with 11 guppies who will grow to be an inch long. I only have a five-gallon tank. Anyone local, just ask if you want free guppies!

My Goldfish! (And other events) :)

I know my last post was about Guppies, but sadly, they went to the big fishbowl in the sky… Oh well. I just got a very fancy goldfish. Her name is Jo Ann. I got that name from a book I was reading at the library. Today was great, I got into the school talent show and hope I do good. Mostly for me, talent shows are nerve racking. I will be singing “Over the Rainbow” and dancing to the salsa with a friend. To sum it all up, it was a very good day.

Talent Show!!

Hi!
Today was the first day of practicing! I sang and sang… … anyway.
I found a dress to wear for the talent show. It is on Friday and I hope it doesn’t go terribly wrong. Does anyone here have a special talent?

Waking up…. and falling asleep again

Howdy!
Today it’s early morning here, and I just woke up. I find it hard to keep my eyelids open!
Usually I wake up with my alarm and fall back asleep. Then half an hour later, I wake up, look at the clock, and feel like screaming. I’m late for school! I know probably no one is on my blog now, but it feels good to say it.

Review of Pirates of Penzance

Hi!
I have waited a while, but I am finally doing a review, or at least to humor my mother. Here we go:
I liked the scenery- it was very precise for the story. I liked the actors because they acted not like actors, but as real people. That is the way I like it. The only thing I didn’t like was that we were up front, and the actor spit on me- on accident, but all the same-I liked it. mom and dad are making brats right now, and no offense, but it smells.

-A awkward feeling Magykgirl08

Hi.

I have really nothing to talk about today. I’m not feeling too good so I just wanted to say so. I feel so tired. Just posting so you know I am still here. See you guys later.

Last Day of School

Hi!
Today was the last day of school. I have mixed emotions right now. Sad, Happy, etc. My sister is looking over my shoulder right now, telling me how unfair I am for not letting her comment. The problem is, whenever she comments on this computer, her little sign thingy is the same as mine, so I told her not to comment on this computer and now she’s all upset and whining. Whine whine whine.

First Day of Summer

Well, hello!
It’s the first day of summer and I’m feeling nothing. Zip, Nada, big o.
It was rainy here and didn’t seem like summer, but it cheered up and I went to the new water park on Lincoln and Hampton. It was great.

-Magykgirl08

Flash! Boom!

Good morning!
Last night was a sure storm. We had so much rain, our rain barrel is full!
Last night was spent as a timer. You saw a enormous flash of lightning, and then, three seconds later, BOOM! My cousins were scared, and even Dylan my two-year old cousin was reminding himself, “Not, scared, di di, not scared.”
I fell asleep and slept like a rock, thanks to my tall glass of milk. Did any one here get a bad storm? I heard Chicago got it the worst.

Summer at JCC

Hola!
I’m taking a summer camp!
It’s in Fredonia, but I think it’s really long to get there. Sorry, but my posts might be small for the next two weeks, because when I went home, I was no more then the walking dead. We do swimming and biking and climbing and canoeing, to name a few. Thanks for commenting!

-Magykgirl08

Hot!!!!!!!!!!!

‘lo!
Today was FREAKY hot.
I was in Fredonia today and it was in the nineties.
We had a hot day schedule at camp, and we swam all day. I met a nice friend, and I had fun. What else could I ask for?

Sun Burn! Ouch!

Hi!
I came home from camp today and my Mom said that I was terribly sun burned. I didn’t feel the darnest thing, but she said I would soon. I took some advil, and hope that it doesn’t hurt. Hope I feel good.

Death of The King of Pop: Michael Jackson

Good morning/afternoon (whenever you are reading this)
I was coming home from camp when the radio said that Michael Jackson had died. I asked my Au Pair and she said he had a heart attack.
I woke up this morning and saw on the news that Michael Jackson was on rehearsals, he suffered a massive cardiac arrest (Heart attack). It turns out when he had his heart attack, when they loaded him in the ambulance, he was already cool when touched. When they reached the hospital he was already dead. On the other hand, Farrah died of cancer yesterday, and everyone is remembering them both in a grave silence.

-Magykgirl08
P.S Even though Jackson wasn’t my favorite, I’m still depressed.

Views on the blog! And a poem!

Morning!
I was looking around today, and I saw that I had 91 views in one day, which is silly because I only have 5 people looking here everyday! By the way, I was asked to show a poem I wrote for a piano piece, so here it is:
This poem is titled “Drifting petals”.

Drifting Petals softly flow,
Following the currents,
So pretty, yet you can’t touch,
What a pretty sight,
Pink and orange,
and such a pretty sight,
Life is not the same with these pretty things,
take a look, it won’t last long,
Petals always float away,
one last look they’re drifting far,
falling behind the horizon,
Drifting petals, so pretty.

-A poetic Magykgirl08
P.S If N. D and L.D are here, I hope you enjoyed the poem!!!

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Hi again!
Sorry for my absence, I was at a overnight at my camp.
It was very rainy today and yesterday, I was a little unhappy. It’s kind of cold, and I feel gloomy. I wish this rain would go away. I just noticed on the news that we have a lot of showers around the states.

- A gloomy Magykgirl08
P.S I just got on, and I checked, 20 views already! Wow!

Fireworks! Boom!

Hi!
Today I am anticipating a great day tomorrow because there are fireworks there! They start at nine and end around ten. I can’t wait to go, so I feel happy. I’m also upset over a private matter, but anyways. I’m going to have a fun day! :)

-Magykgirl08

The Parade, and Other Events :)

‘lo.
I had the GREATEST time at the parade yesterday! We had our bikes all decorated and fluffed up, and we went up to the park and had Ice cream. On the way there, a lady walking her dog was in the parade with us when she got between the flag carriers and started moving forward. We accidentally got up by the flag carriers too, but she’s saying, “Oh, get back, you can’t be near the flags!” she snapped at me. and she was up there too! Who did she think she was, Mrs. America? Oh well. See you tomorrow.

-Magykgirl08

Upset

I’m upset because Mom and dad won’t let me go to six flags. I’m really really really really upset but they just want to do something else. I’m so upset!!!!@!!!!!! I even have a free ticket!!!!! I’m really sad and crying. I just wanted to go there once!!!!!!

Chicken for Lunch! New school!

Hi!
This morning was okay, but I went to camp and came back at lunch time. My sister went off to play with a friend while I had some chicken. Loanda, our nanny is making it, along with some rice, and it smells luxurious. I might be going to a new school if they have rooom, but I really want to go, so good for me if they do.

Hi!
Well today Michael Jackson was given a public memorial at the staple’s center. Only one in every 183 people got tickets. I hope his final resting place will be decided soon. What about you guys?

My Camp right now

Hello!
Today is my fourth day of camp so far. I’m taking a camp at UWM called college for kids. I’m taking a little first aid class, and I’m very happy. We are learning all these safety procedures and all that jazz.

Pathetic Injury

Hi!
Sorry about not posting, but I have been quite busy. I got scraped yesterday, and it got real deeply in. By what, you may be asking? A piece of grass. Just completely normal piece of grass. I was pretty pathetic to be cut by grass. It hurts even as I am typing, as a reminder…………

Review of Harry Potter and The Half-blood Prince

‘lo.
WARNING: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS OR HAVE NOT INTENTIONALLY SAW THE MOVIE, DON’T READ THIS REVIEW, AS IT GIVES AWAY TERRIBLE SECRETS.

The movie, as seen by me and my family, was pretty darn good. It was a lot more dramatic, but in a good way. The special effects, were good, but in some scenes, I felt that they needed to get to the point. Near the end, the base was very loud. The problem was , the base wasn’t to good, so we had to listen to it loud, and horrible.

It was a fun movie otherwise.

My trip to Madison

Hola!
I went to Madison on Saturday to see gg. We had a fun time and everything was great. I saw some pictures of my cousin Nikki. Then I hopped on a bus home, took my friend’s dog for a walk, and played mancala. It was fun.

-Magykgirl08
P.S I really want something sweet right now, but I can’t have anything.

New School!!

Good Evening!
My Mom said I should blog about my new school. My new school is Wedgewood middle school, and I feel happy, and I hope you like the link here.

A Sleepy Morning

Morning!
Today I woke up later than usual. I am sitting in front wondering what to post about. I mean, there are news stories, but I’m too lazy. Someone out there- ask me a question- I’d be happy to answer.

Air Show! And a picture! :)

Afternoon!
Well, I went to the air show, and it was fun. They gave out free everything, for starters. Then the angels came down and made everyone’s filling rattle. They finished up the show with this spectacular picture:

Origin of My Blog Alias

Good Afternoon.
I have finally decided to reveal my alias origin.
It comes from the book Magyk, a series which I have quite enjoyed. I decided on the ’08 part because I started the blog then. I hope you like this post.

-Magykgirl08

P.S Now you know why!

Wii Fit: Blessing or Curse?

Good Evening,
Today I decided to wii fit, while my brother watched. I did some work outs and felt pretty darn good-until I realized I had gained six pounds since yesterday. The wii fit person wasn’t very happy with me. I was aghast-it was yelling at me like I was a fat slug. I felt upset, but got over it quickly.

-Magykgirl08

P.S. go to this website, it is very funny because whenever you ask it a question, it just says I won’t answer that! my sister had to break the BIG secret to me. Hope you figure it out! PPS. think the button period, then the answer.

The Tree in the Yard

Hola!
Today/yesterday we had the tree next door to us taken down. It provided all the shade we needed-but our new neighbors were moving in, and they wanted a 3 car garage, so down the tree went. it was very noisy, and I waited for a full day-almost-but the full tree didn’t come down ’till yesterday, so I am a bit upset.
I took some pictures of it, with my dad’s blackjack2, but the lighting isn’t too good. I hope you like the pictures. Oh yeah, I did the wii fit this morning, and it said I lost 6 pounds. I think something is wrong with sensors, but all is well.

Those Darn Bee Hives!

Afternoon, my followers!
I have had it with these bees! They are just showing up everywhere! When I go outside, there’s one on the gate. When I go to grandma’s house, there’s another one on the basket ball hoop. I wasn’t SO bummed out the first time, but when I can’t play basketball, then there’s a problem. I’m gonna go cool myself of now….

Experiment 1: Coffee In The Morning

Good morning!
I decided to reflect on my past of seeing people with and without coffee.
It was fun because they were too funny.

Experiment: Coffee
Subject: Mom
Notes: Walks in kitchen. Slowly fills coffee pot. Weakly says hi.
After coffee, subject moves to me and tells me plan for day very enthusiastically.
I noticed it was amazing how much coffee will do for you. Now subject is walking around house, doing random things.
Conclusion: You NEED coffee in the morning, or you won’t work. I’m lucky that I don’t need coffee yet.

Keep following!

What Should I Blog about?

Good Evening!
I was wondering what to blog about, while my friend Ethan was telling me to blog about all these stupid things. I couldn’t make up my mind! So I just want you to comment as a post for me. I have nothing to say, or at least, I’m too lazy.

New Camp! Again! :)

Hello, followers!
Today I am going to a new afternoon camp, and I know it is going to be fun. My sister is at an overnight at the jcc camp, so I have the house to my self, considering there are no other 11 year old girls around right now. The new camp is called Lake Bluff Camp. I like it because you do fun large games, and then you get ice cream and go swimming. What more could a child ask for?:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):) As you can see by my numerous smilie faces, I’m in a good mood.

Paula Abdul- Leaving American Idol!

‘lo my followers!
Today was the day that I confirmed Paula Abdul’s resignation from American Idol. I was listening to my parents talk about her. I got some info from them.

50% said that they wouldn’t watch the show anymore. I thought this was amazing.
Right now Simon Cowell is the most powerful man in the music world.

-All this is SO too dramatic

Thunderstorms in Wisconsin

Good morning (Good afternoon, good evening, whenever you read this)
We are in for a rainy/freakishly hot day. I checked the news and saw this huge weather system. I just hope it rains….. …..ok, I will go be sleepy somewhere else because I can’t really concentrate.

-Magykgirl08
P.S Keep up the high spirits L.D!

Rain, and so much, Our Rain Barrel Overflowed!

Hello! More or less.
It is raining very severely here.
Thunder and lightning are here.
We are also right under that big pink thing in the center of the storm machine thingy.
I am wet, since my sister and I were running a race against each other today and I splashed water everywhere, and now we are going to run errands. Such fun!

-Magygirl08
P.S Watch out for the pink spot in the middle!

Hot Hot Hot!

Good morning!
Yesterday it was searing hot in Milwaukee.
I had a friend who was planning to go to the state fair, and it was gonna be 96 degrees. he stopped the idea and went with us to the little lake house my grandparents have.

-Magykgirl08
P.S We still had a lot of rain!

The Crash Over The Hudson: A Recap of our top story

Hi!
Well, we all now know that there was a terrible crash over the Hudson river a couple days ago. Basically, I will go into reporter mode first.

Good morning, veiwers.
Today was another morning of wreckage and carnage. More bodies were pulled from the river today, along with some bits of airplane. Dive teams have found 9 bodies in 60 feet deep water. Professionals say some of the airplane’s wing is still missing.

back to you, Viewers.

Gold Fish

Well, hello!
I looked around and saw that I had many views on my fish posts, so here is another.
Fish are fun to have around. But first piece of info-Don’t get guppies. My two guppies died in the first week, had babies, and then they died too. I thought, ughh, I don’t want a goldfish at first. But it turns out, my goldfish is a very happy fish, and requires little care. If you want to get a fish, try a goldfish!

Sorry-I was in Madison!

Hello, friends, family, random blog viewers, today was fun.
I went up to Madison to see my Grandma (gg) and to go up to Briggsville, WI. We went tubing and all that fun outdoor stuff. I have to go, since apparently my sister wants to play on the computer, and sadly, we only have one computer.

-Magykgirl08

Phantom of The Opera Review

Well, good morning!
I went to see a play on Sunday with my grandparents, and I think you guessed which one.
Well I have to say, I liked the music a whole lot. There were lots of special effects, like fires, flashes of light, and balls of flame. My grandma told me about the stage she went to in Vegas, where they have a stage built for the Phantom.

Camping!!

Hi!
Well today I get to go camping for the second time, EVER. You see, Mom and Dad don’t like camping that much, so I don’t get the chance often. The first time was with gg, and we saw fireflies. Oh, well. I gotta go pack.

Block Party!

Hi!
Welcome to all in the Milwaukee area, get ready for the 2700 block party of the summer. (And the only one) I really hope everyone comes, because we always have so much fun.
There is not much else to say except…

HAVE A GREAT PARTY!

-Magykgirl08
P.S I’m blushing!

Well, School is almost here…

Gooooooooood Morning folks!
Today I realized I only had a couple days left of summer.
I also realized that school was going to be different this year. We are going to be transferring classes over the day. This is new to me.

Well, here goes something.

My Nanny’s Mom is Coming!

Hello, good morning all! (Which is like, no one, but do I care?)
My nanny’s mom is coming today. I will go pick her up with my nanny, and she will see Milwaukee in the finest. There is not much else to say, at least not to an empty audience.

-Magykgirl08

It’s a Crazy World

Well, good morning!
It was a Vegas casino- Flashing lights, men serving drinks, blackjack tables, and a great pool. I was finding my way to the big wheel, and there was the Quadrillian dollar jackpot. I spun the wheel, and wham! I was richer than Bill Gates. and then I heard it. “Wake up!”
I opened my eyes to find that I had not been living a great life, but instead sleeping.
I went downstairs, and ate a quick breakfast, and from there on, it was chores.’
Anyway, it was hard to find time to blog, but I got it done.

-magykgirl08
P.S I am sadly, not any richer than Bill Gates. I’m not even richer than my sister.

Well, School Was Fun?

I think that school is sometimes punishment for people who hate school.
I am, thankfully not one of those people, and I actually had a fun day. We played games, got great stuff to eat, learned, played music, Etc.
I had a fun first day of school, which can only be expressed in one way:

:) :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)::):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):!

Scratch That last Post!( And Obama’s address to schoolchildren)

Hi again, sorry about that last post, so let’s just scratch it and move on. Today was fun at school, and I finally got my locker, but it is a bit uncooperative, so I think I need a new one. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get it open eventually, but right now, fuggedaboudit. Anyways, I am going to try my hardest to get my locker open, and to try and blog. Obama has me in a good mood, talking all about how we need try our best. We were all supposed to watch it at school, and I liked it. President Obama has some good ideas. I was watching the news, and some lady was saying, “I don’t want me children going to school, because Obama supports gay marriage, and I don’t, and I don’t want him putting ideas in my children’s heads!”
I think you can guess what I was thinking. I’m sort of just letting out my thoughts about the past, I don’t know, three days? This is the longest post I’ve ever written. I just hope someone reads this, because I just wrote a lot, and I hope it was for good measure.

Ta, ta.

-Magykgirl08
P.S Someone comment, or it makes me feel like no one is here!

School Time! (and a smile)

Sukkot (Jewish Holiday of Harvest)

Hi!
Well, it was chilly this afternoon, but the aroma of fresh baking cookies really picked my day up. Sukkot is the holiday of harvest, kind of like a fall time fair. We will be going to my Aunt’s house to go to her sukka (Hut like thing) Anyways, please comment!!!!

Weather Catastrophe

Holah!
It was a nice day yesterday, but now, it’s like the grim weather man came to Wisconsin. We have big rainstorms and temperatures below fifty(and to think, a month ago I was saying it was hot!) anyways, for those away from Wisconsin, yay for you, if you’re not, I know how you feel.

-magykgirl08
P.s anyone know how much snow we are going to have? drop me a line.

The Magyk Cam

(Pirate in the movie, “The princess bride”)

Hope you have a haunted Halloween(Or all hallows eve)

Big Falcon

Good Morning,

Well it happened that one late afternoon, me, my sister, my little brother, Mom and Dad were all playing frisbee with some friends. All of a sudden, this big shadow covered the sun. We all looked up and saw one of the largest birds I’ve ever seen. We followed it to where is landed in a tree. My mom took a picture with her iphone:

See you guys later,

Let it Snow! (Or not)

Well, it’s a chilly morning here in rual Wisconsin.
To be dramatic and descriptive, I woke up to my windows frosted with ice. The trees were burdened with loads of snow and ice, and the road was slick with water. Just saying it was winter can be very hard. Our temperatures went down at the lowest three degrees. So right now I’m saying: Don’t let it snow anymore!

-Magykgirl08

Corpse Flower in Milwaukee!!

Watch out milwaukee! This is going to knock your senses out cold!

You guessed it:The Milwaukee Public Museum is having another corpse flower in the butterfly wing. Only 140 corpse flowers are known in the world! Last year, the plant faked it’s own death, coming back to life and growing at least 17 inches a night. The Museum is having a camera set up, so I’ll put the link up when its out.

People with sinus problems ( i.e not liking the smell of DEATH) should avoid.

What is to be Expected of cold, cold Wisconsin

Good morning,

As I sit here typing this, I reminded myself that I wanted to go sledding. But I then remembered that the reason I haven’t gone sledding is because it’s been way too cold. Sure a high of 30 degrees is what we consider “warm” here. Hopefully Wisconsin will get on it’s feet and give us some snow without the cold.

-Magykgirl08

I’m Back!

Hello, fellow humans, amphibians, mammals, and all other life forms!

I went on a trip, and here I am again. While I was gone, one of my favorite book series debuted as a movie on president’s day, and I hope I can see it.

Returning to School on a Monday……

Morning!

Today I started off the day with a sandwich(AMAZING!) and a backpack. I’m on my way to the bus stop, to wait for our bus driven by Andrew. Once on the bus, I will sit through one hour of yelling, cussing, and paranoia. Otherwise, school will be fun. Learn about matter, read tangerine etc. Wish me luck,

Steak and Potatoes (And my ability to come up with posts)

Good Evening!

Tonight the kitchen smells like steak- and potatoes, cauliflower, and wine. Today was one of our lay back after an okay day. We did forensics until about three, and laid back here at home. So then our meal came together, and I still can’t find a very interesting thing in the kitchen to write about. So have a nice day, and remember: Daylight savings is tonight. We spring forward!

-Magykgirl08

Summer, Winter, WHEN WILL IT END???????

Hi, people,

Today was plain AMAZING- in the sixties, sunshine, warm breeze. Everything I want- until I turned on the news (On our new at&t network thingy) and saw this: sharp drop in temperatures, seven inches of snow? Right now? Oh, well. Maybe I’m overreacting or something. Keep following!

The Cold, The Dark, it’s Rising!

Hello!
Today was a beautiful morning- the afternoon was cold. But enough about the weather. Here’s my latest book review:

Book Title: The Dark Is Rising
Author: Susan Cooper
Date Written: 1974
Date Read: February 13-now
Cycle title: The dark is rising (Shocking)
Review: Very good book. I can’t elaborate farther from now, but Cooper weaves a magical mystery, a fight between the light and dark, written as a movie in 2006. Movie Review: No match to book (my talk for bad movie) Recommended for all ages.

Try it!

Experiment in The Morning: #2

Morning!

Here is another experiment showing the la la la effects of morning:

Subject: Freakishly fat squirrel
Subject location: Backyard, perched on tree
Subject’s movement: Sniffs Nut in front of subject; does not eat. Scampers off to the alley.
Conclusion: Squirrels should not eat nuts, but something a bit less fattening, also, squirrels should not ruin my morning my not eating the nut my post was on… (Can’t help squirrels) I got a picture of a squirrel’s, um, bottom. Enjoy!

U-Verse (And other things)

Good Morning!
Yesterday was kind of weird- we got at&t u-verse and our internet was down (Along with our TV and phone…) But here is my post now:
Riddle of the Year:
Can anyone guess this year’s riddle? It’s a hard one! Send me a comment if you get it. The reveal will be tomorrow.

riddle: Clare Barton was born on December 27th, yet it is in the summer. How is this possible?

-Magykgirl08

The Answer To The Quiz!

Hi!

I am sitting here eating a peanut butter sandwich, wondering about stuff. Well, here is the Q&A

Clara was born on December 27th, but for her it is always summer. How is this possible?
She was born in the southern hemisphere.

Passover is Almost Here!

Good Morning! (evening, day, etc.)
This next week will be one of my most loved and hated weeks of the year. Pros: I get to see my family, have a seder, eat good food. Cons: After that day it’s only matzah( well, mostly matzah, because you’re not allowed to have flour or peanuts, beans, etc.) So that is my next week.

The Musical

Hello!
You might remember that I auditioned for a musical back in November.
Well, I got the part of Gracie in the musical, “The Nifty Fifties”. Practicing lines is hard, but I’ll manage. The performance is May 13. Hope to see you there!

DSi XL

Hello, people!

Yesterday, I was in the mall with some friends at Game Stop, where we saw the new DSi XL. They say it has “93%” more screen space, but that is compared to the DS lite. I, having a Nintendo DSi, the step down, think that the 9 hours of battery life is enough for me. The screen space on a DSi XL is only roughly two inches larger than the DSi, and the new evolution of Nintendo, the number one handheld game seller, is rather bulky- almost as large as a Ipad. It comes in black and “wine” red, though it looks kind of rusty. to those who like pre-downloaded games, this is a good idea, though I will stick by my DSi. Your choice.

The picture below compares the dsi and the DSi XL, their screens, pen size, and width.

This Weekend…

Hello!
I have just about finished my chores, but while I have a break from Mom….

This weekend we will have easter, and everyone will bring something. I think. Mom and Dad are thinking about making rosemary lamb. Mhmmm… Ok, more chores to do. Keep visiting!

Keep the Stats Up! (Among other things)

Hello, people, children, anyone who is here,
I realized my stats are up here, so keep up the surfing. I had a search for a pink goldfish(?) and that was about it. Today at our school is the “Spring Fling” so if any of you are WP surfers, here’s the basics:

Dance time: around third block-fourth block’s end
Dress style: semi-formal- no prom dresses
Specials: Probably a DJ. That’s about it.
People: expected large crowd- be careful

And for all who are not at WP, this weekend is Easter, and I can’t wait!

-Magykgirl08

P.S See you soon, gg

Club Penguin ( Cheats that USED to work)

Hi People!

Today, I was on Club Penguin, an online interaction site when I remembered it’s history. I started my account (magykgirl08) in september of 2008, and Disney bought club penguin in 2009 at the start of the new year. The bad thing is, they don’t have good ideas for parties, they publicize cheats, and they have a really bad fashion sense. On the upside, the igloos you can buy are nice. Any of you who are on Club Penguin, remember my name.

bye,
Magykgirl08

Easter ( Among the weather, broken crock pots, new sneakers, and a whole lot of cleaning)

Hello!
Today my family is hosting Easter, and it’s a race to the finish.
First off they were already done with a lot of stuff- making Rosemary Lamb, overcooking their crock pots, throwing away their beloved crock pot-:(-
Then, I got new sneakers yesterday, but as soon as a I woke up, I was told to eat breakfast and get to work ( not that harshly) but I was allowed to blog first ( thanks, mom!) Anyway, it’s a bit hectic here and it’s just going to get worse. Love the kitchen smells.
Bye, good luck with your easters!

Jogging in The MORNING

Hello, people

I went jogging this morning with my mom and sister, and it was fun. Now we’re all tired, and I really need some water or something, because jogging is easy for me, but when you have to make sure you aren’t tripping over your sister’s feet all the time, it really takes it out of you.
anyways, bye

Thunder In Wisconsin!

Well, good morning, folks,
I woke up to the sound of thunder all around and quite a damp backyard. We went from eighty degrees and sunny to cloudy and rainy. This also adds to my unhappiness, because I have to go to the doctor today and I don’t like needles. Have a fun day, regardless of what I’m doing!

Skies Stay Grey

Hello,
This morning the sky is still grey. It’s drizzling. I’m gloomy. I also got bottom braces yesterday and they hurt a lot. Otherwise, if none of that stuff were here, I’m pretty sure it would have begun as a nicer day. Anyway, see you guys later!

-Magykgirl08

Cold, Cold,Wisconsin ( Even emotionally)

Hi, people,
Today we woke to cold cold weather- and the emotions here are no better. Here I am trying to post every day, and getting almost no stats. I mean, I guess I try every day, but maybe I’m being too negative. anyway, swing around here every now and then, ok?

I-Pad What, When, Who, How

Hello, people,
I had the greatest gift of being allowed to play with an apple I-pad. To tell you the truth, it is like a really large iphone with better software. They’re about the size of a large magazine, glossy, and have a very nice sort of kindle app, where you can actually turn a page of a book you’re reading. All in all, I know there are a few kinks, but I like it. To apple lovers, this is a great buy, starting at $499.99.

See you later,

Writing Skills, Computers as old as me, and boiling bratwurst…

Hello, people,
I’m sorry, as you can tell, my computer was down since 04/12 and I am unhappy…
Anyways, down to business, I recently got a comment (From the wonderful gg) That my writing skills have improved. Can you believe it? I have ok writing skills. I’m blown too, don’t worry. Anyways, tonight the kitchen smells of bratwurst and was tasty and smelly. I guess there’s a downside to everything. Tomorrow is Monday, and I have to go back to school. See you tomorrow if I can use my Dad’s father’s fancy laptop. See you soon,

-Magykgirl08

Brought to you from: You guessed it, HOME!

HI, people!
Today, once again, I am bringing this to you via my dad’s laptop. I have been wondering exactly what is my sister’s source of energy is, because I am nearly dead on my feet. Anyways, with her bouncing off the walls, I feel aged. Because of this, I pose the question: What in the name of all things sane is my sister eating/drinking???? My guess is the world will never know….. as she is bouncing WHILE staring over my shoulder, I think I’ll get off now. See you tomorrow,

New Computers, Crashing Websites, and Mad Hot Ballroom

Hello, blog-followers!
My website is a little knky these past few days-no thanks to wordpress putting up new programs-but here is this day’s post:
Our computer, not surprisingly is still dead and MIA. Right now, I’m thinking about the Mad Hot Ballroom (Dance competition) I’m doing precisely at the 15 of April, so I’m nervous. Gotta go, Family waiting!

-Magykgirl08

Our New Computer!!! ( I know, it arrived!)

Hello, people!

Today is the first day using our new computer, and I love it. It is so fast, I don’t even have time to think between commands, which, compared to our old computer, is a lot. There’s not much else to say, it’s a Dell window’s seven, and it came with Microsoft works(?). See you tomorrow,

Leftover Peeps, and Warmer Weather in The Future?

Hello, people!

I know, peeps are not in season anymore, but this is when we buy them! We got them at a drugstore (Thanks Wallgreens!) for ten cents a piece. This is when we make dioramas out of them and give them names. It’s almost a family tradition. We appear to have warmer weather in our future, but it’s a looooooong way off. See you tomorrow!

Summer: Will it ever come?

Hello, People!

Today I really feel like Wisconsin needs a warm-up. Don’t you agree? It’s been cold and snowing and raining for too long, and I’m tired of it. But, we must wait as we always do, and that is still a pain. Anyway, today we practice fro our musical, The Nifty Fifties, at school, and that’s a good thing. See you guys later,

Hellos, Rainy Mornings, And Why I Hate Tuesdays

Hello, people!

Today, Tuesday, is a rainy drippy day. NO FUN. I do enjoy rain though. My sister has herself convinced she’s a vampire, and I’m going to jump off a bridge if it weren’t raining. Oh, well, we can’t all be of the supernatural. Speaking of vampires, for the twilight lovers, here is a link to Stephanie’s Midnight sun-Edward’s view of twilight. Good luck!

Cinco De Mayo- So Soon!!!

Hi, people!

Well, today is the fourth of May, but what I’m really waiting for is the fifth. Tomorrow I will be ballroom dancing in the celebration at our school. And playing for the Band, but that hasn’t gotten itself together yet. I’m a little nervous, so wish me luck!

Cloudy Days, Cloudy Minds…

Hello, people!

Today happens to be a very cloudy day, and my mind is even worse. Remember when I told you yesterday that I was dancing ballroom in the Celebration at our school? Well, yesterday, my partner quit on me, and even though I got a new partner, I’m still angry…

I’ll tell you tomorrow about the results!

Results Of Cinco De Mayo/ Justin Beiber

Hello, people!

Well, here it is: I danced salsa, tango, swing, and gave myself blisters. Anyways, I did good, and since I love to make fun of Justin Beiber (ooooooohhh) (sarcasm) Here is a video of him not understanding a man’s kiwi accent. The word ” German” is not that hard to understand, people!!!!!!

May 26th, 2010 at wedgewooodpark international baccalaureate middle school, at 6:00, I think. See you there!

Brewers Game!

Hello, people, bloggers, blog readers,

Today is my day to go to the Brewers game! I really can’t wait to go, but since I don’t know who we’re going against, I’ll just go with the blue colors. Something funny: My friend is researching whatever team we’re going against, and then she’s going to wear whatever their colors are. She’s kinda funny. I’ll tell you how it ends. Here is a video of Ryan Braun getting hit with a ball by a mean pitcher:  usdf ojndfumfa.

How’s That Rain For ‘ya?

Hello, greetings,

Today is still rainy-adding to my foul mood, as the Brewers lost BADLY yesterday. The rain won’t stop! Anyway, all of southern Wisconsin is covered with rain…. I hope our bus doesn’t break down like it did on Tuesday. That WAS NOT FUN. my friend’s blog is a lot more fun than mine, so here is his address:

P.S still rainy :(

Sunny Days and Mad Hot Ballroom!

Hello, people!

Today is sunny-no clouds, just sun. This is a perfect reminder of the last day of practice before the big day-tomorrow.  It just so happens that I will be dancing salsa at  the Bradley center tomorrow at nine o’ clock. See you later, I guess,

- a very excited Magykgirl08

Results of Mad Hot Ballroom!

Hello, people,

Today is the aftermath, the day after the Mad Hot Ballroom. I got out in the first round, but since my partner ditched me before I danced, I  had to dance with whoever there was… My sister got into the second round with her partner, but they got out before the third. Neither of us are upset, probably because we did it last year, and understand you’re not going to win. Oh, well. I guess I have to go now, things to do,

-Magykgirl08

P.S gg, Mom has pictures-e-mail her!

Debate Over Wii: IS it Good for Your Heart?

Hello, people!

Well, I know that a lot of you out there have wiis, (Including me) and play them a lot. So do ten thousand other Americans. Recently, the american heart association made plans to put their logo on the outgoing wiis. Some people are skeptical, considering some of the Wii is not active, and studies show that you burn 200% more fat while really boxing than Wii boxing.  Still, the AHA is still going to go through with their plans. Tell me what you think?

To All in the Immediate Milwaukee Area

Hello, people!

Today is the day I advise you to spend your Thursday night watching me and my sister perform at our school-tickets are the following:

kids-12 and under-2$

Adults-5$

Yes, I can’t exactly sell this idea to you, but I hope you can come, and so does my sister. See you then.

-Magykgirl08

Warmer Weather = Hotter Heads?

Hello, people!

Well, everyone in the Wisconsin area knows that we have an unseasonably weird warm up. We were at school, no AC, no fans, lots of hot, sweaty children cooped up in one room.  I have an idea, since all the teachers are cranky, the heat is the cause, because now we are all unhappy, even though we have been waiting for a warm up.s ee you soon,

-Magykgirl08

Dress Rehearsal-The Worst Day ever?

Hello, people!

Well, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been going on about the upcoming production my school is having, called “The nifty fifties”. I was freaking out last night, and only got five hours of sleep. Yeah. Just the perfect thing I need right before the dress rehearsal and the show on Thursday. Anyway, since the dress rehearsal is today, no classes! See you tomorrow, hopefully at wedgewood!

-Magykgirl08

TODAY IS THE MUSICAL!!!!

( And I have a right to freak out, right?)

Hello, people!

Today is the big day-what  I have been posting all week. Today is the musical. I really hope I do good. Hopefully, some of you will be there. To Unca Peek, if you’re reading: Tickets are 5 dollars for Adults, 2 dollars for kids. Sorry for the mix-up. See you there!

-Magykgirl08

P.S Wish you could be there, gg, They’re videotaping, though.

The Aftermath- and A Gloomy Hurricane Season?

Hello people!

I guess I’m glad that the musical is all over-no more rehearsals, crazy stuff. I have other stuff to talk about: This year’s hurricane season. We might be seeing hurricanes very similar to those in 2005, which some of you might remember, was the year Katrina hit. We’ll have to wait and see. Oh yeah, thanks to Unca Peek who sat through the hour and a half of semi-good acting. Some of us forgot our lines, so there were some blank places.

-Magykgirl08

Thunderstorms?

Yes, people, I woke today to the sound of thunder, with the sun shining through my window. Sun showers. Anyways, it stopped a few minutes ago, and now it’s sunny, but it was a little strange. Anyhow, on Wednesday, I go on a school trip to St. Louis and Springfield. Fun, right? I’ll see you tomorrow.

-Magykgirl08

Countdown to the END OF SCHOOL

Hello, people!

Well, today is when I first start counting down to the end of school. Today is Wednesday, which is the fourth last day. School will end very soon. That leaves an ope summer………. until August 17, when we start again, because of the new calendar.  Oh well, see you soon!

-Magykgirl08

P.S not very warm out!!

St. Louis Trip!

Hello, people!

Well, tomorrow is the day I take a three day trip to St. Louis and Springfield with my school. I will be gone until Friday. We are going to learn all about Abe Lincoln. See you soon.

-Magykgirl08

My Trip To St. Louis!

Hello, people!

Well, for the next three days I will be traveling with my school. I don’t have anything to use to post, so I have to leave my page blank for a few days. Wish me luck, and I will take pictures!

-MAgykgirl08

The Air Show!!!

Hello, people!

Today is the air show day-the blue angels and plenty of other aircraft defy gravity with their tricks today at the lake front. The blue angels have been practicing above our house(since we live by the lake) and they are LOUD. It’s a lot of fun to watch them, but the weather’s a little cool this morning. Hopefully it will become sunny. See you there!

-Magykgirl08

My Trip!

Hello, people!

Well, I’m back, three days traveling Illinois and Missouri. Lots of fun. Here’s what we did:

First, we spent five hours on a bus and stopped for mc donald’s, then we stopped at Lincoln’s tomb. We then moved on to our hotel, the Springfield Hilton, which is thirty stories high (not kidding) and then we went to a lincoln memorial and then his house and office. Then we slept and in the morning went to St. Louis.  We spent two hours in the bus and when we saw the Arch, it was amazing. We then went up inside it (Her’s a little back story: it takes four minutes to get up via elevator, which rock and groan and are no bigger than a small inside of a car. We were screaming for four solid straight minutes!!) when we made it to the top, it was airplane level. We saw our hotel and the rooftop pool on the 29th floor, which we did swim in around 9:00 at night. We went to T.G.I friday’s and got food, and went to the hotel. We slept soundly, except for a few prank calls (not my idea) and woke up in the morning. We then went to the Cahokian burial mounds and climbed a 170 ft mound with freshly cut grass, so I have grass shavings in my socks. We then spent the 7-hour drive watching movies and lots of sleeping. The we arrived, where I came to my grandmother’s house where I am writing this right now. See you soon,

-Magykgirl08

P.S My sister says this is a long, boring post and that I should delete it. I think she just missed me….

Hurling Game

Hi, people!

Today me and one of my friends will be going to Unca Peek’s hurling game- at brown deer park. I haven’t really watched hurling before, so I hope I don’t get lost watching it (possible) Today my sister is at  her friend’s house, and i am at home listening to my parents do something with drills and vacuums.

-Magykgirl08

Camp Minikani

Hello, people!

Today is the day me my sister, and some other people are heading to a camp called “Minikani”. My sister and I went there in fourth grade, and it was a lot of fun! I do remember, though, one of the chaperons, which was NOT fun. She was very mean, and it made our camp trip a little unhappy. Anyway, she’s not here this year, so I’ll have a lot of fun. See you on Tuesday!

-Magykgirl08

P.S Unca Peek, good hurling game, you were great!

Check out the Links!

Summer is Here- Or is it?

Hello, people!

Today is the day I contemplate how summer really is. It is partly cloudy and 66 degrees. I’m not sure if that’s warm. We will have a warm up, no doubt, but with no warm weather, the choices of activities dwindle.

-Magykgirl08

Last Day of School-Finally?

Hello, people!

Today is the last day of school. No more school until August 17. We have to switch to the IB calendar that Regan and King follow. That means a short summer for us….. oh well. See you tomorrow with no school!

-Magykgirl08

Today is SUMMER!!!!!

Well, for all of you who work and don’t go to school, today is one of the days cherished by school children nation wide. I love sleeping in late, but I realize now I don’t know what to do with myself. Oh well. See you tomorrow when I do something interesting.

-Magykgirl08

Summer Weather

Hello. people!

Today we are going to the lake house- the weather is getting warmer, and I am getting happier. But yesterday we had a very wet day, with thunderstorms and rain. Hopefully, our summer will be better!

-Magykgirl08

Thunderstorms and Now Sunny?

Hi, people!

Last night and the night before it were covered in rain and lightning; tornado warnings and tornado horns. Now, today and yesterday, it is sunny, and pretty warm.  I wonder what’s up with the weather?

-Magykgirl08

Busy Day

Have you ever had a really busy day? I do. I have a haircut, orthodontist appointment, a friend wants me to come over early, and later a sweet 16 party. Busy, right? Anyway, we got hit  with storms last night and it was windy and rainy, but no thunder :( . Oh, well, see you later!

-Magykgirl08

Trip To Lake Superior

Hi, people!

Sorry it’s been a while I posted- weird weather, sleepovers and summerfest have all played a hand in that. Anyway, on Thursday, some friends of mine are taking me up to a cottage they have on lake Superior. I am really excited, because we used to have a cabin up there, but now it’s gone. It will be good to see the crystal clear cold water again. See you in 8 days,

-Magykgirl08

I’m BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, people!

The sun is beating down hard on Milwaukee! We went up to Lake superior, and here are the things I did: first, we went swimming about five times a day. The water is really cold, but very clear. We set off fireworks, stayed up late around the camp fire and stuff. Then, the  next day, we went snorkeling around a salt barge that sank about three hundred yards from where we were staying. My  friend brought up a rod from it, which is now sitting in my room, and weighs about two pounds. The seven hour drive was worth it. Have a great summer!

-magykgirl08

New Nanny

Hi, people!

Well, summer has officially started and we have a new nanny in our house. Her name is Camila, and she’s very nice. Also, summer in Milwaukee is very hot. We went out to the lake yesterday and it was warm. Have a good summer!

-magykgirl08

ZOO!

Hi, people!

Today we are going to the zoo, and we are bringing a friend. Sadly, this does not give me a lot to post about, so here is the main topic:

some things irking me:

-school stars on August 17th

-it’s going to hit 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and I’m going to be at a zoo with thousands of sweaty people.

-I have laundry to fold

-BP are idiots (who knew?)

-I’m having trouble with optomism.

-Magykgirl08

Weather Blues

Hey, people!

Today is supposed to be rainy and humid. Yay… Well, It’s 6:30 and still slightly dark out, and very cloudy. Other news: Lake Michigan is at least and inch higher, with all the flooding. On our way to camp in the morning, we see piles of debris and couches, soaked and ruined. It’s sad. See you soon,

-Magykgirl08

Camp Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, people!

Tomorrow is the day me, my sister, and my little brother go to camp. We are going to the JCC rainbow day camp in Fredonia. It’s going to be lots of fun!! Right now we are watching Shrek the third, and it is hilarious! Check out my sister’s blog,

www.koalabearlily.blogspot.com

Her post is a lot like mine.

-Magykgirl08

Today is Camp!

Hello,people!

Today we go to  camp! (Thanks, Grandma, Grandpa!) It’s going to be a lot of fun, and we will be very tired when we get home. I’ll have more to say when I get back from camp. Our overnight is on Thursday, so I will have fun with that. See you this evening!

-Magykgirl08

P.S Check out Lily’s blog, it’s on the blogroll to the right!

Milwaukee is Famous! ( and wet..)

Hey, people!

Thursday was a disaster-rain, tornadoes, hail, lightning, thunder. But one thing is out of place. A sinkhole opened up at the intersection where pizza man used to be. A SUV fell down with it.

The driver got out, but the pictures taken on that rainy thursday afternoon have made it all around the world, and on the front page of a lot of large websites including Yahoo!.com.

We were in Fredonia and just got brushed by the storm, nothing like what happened here. See you soon!

-Magykgirl08

Today’s Friday!(If You Didn’t Know That)

Helllllllooooo, people!

Today is Friday-surprise, surprise! There is a lot of tragedy in the news today. I could go on and on with pictures about this kind of stuff, but I won’t because it will probably make you more depressed. To summarize:The guy who wanted to burn the holy books of the Muslims has postponed his event, because he believed they would not build the Mosque downtown. As far as I know(And my mother) the mosque is still going to be built. This man must be deluded. If he feels like he needs to endanger people in the middle east, he can go right ahead,

Also, this week, a gas line exploded in San Fransisco and there is one person dead, while 50 homes have burned. In this dry hot season, anything can happen. Also, three armed robberies have happened in the past week, two in banks and one at a jewelry store. Here is a video:

I know it’s in Detroit, but it’s still a very good show of bravery.

-Magykgirl08

School Starts on Wednesday!!!!!

HI, people, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, so here it is !

School starts on Wednesday, and I’m freaking out.  We have all our school supplies. But since we start earlier, we end earlier too. In May. What are we going to do in May? It will mostly be cold. And, our Bat Mitzvah is coming up, on September 5th. That’s also a freak-out problem. Zuzu is helping out tons, and I think mostly everybody on this blog is coming(Zuzu, gg, Unca Peek, Wonder Mom, Grandma, Bapa, Elizajoy, Lily, Oscar, etc.) A lot of people are coming, so I should go sleep the stress off.

-Magykgirl08

BAT MITZVAH IN THREE DAYS!!!!!

Hello, my name is magykgirl08, if you don’t remember my name. My Bat Mitzvah(And Lily’s) is in thee FREAKING days. Yeah, it’s a shocker. It’s complicated, but we’re waiting for the nitial shouck to set in. Aunt Louise is coming, to update(Sorry for forgetting that) and Mom and dad are going crazy. They remodeled EVERYTHING. And when I say everything I mean a lot of stuff!! And the weird thing is, it’s no deal to them, I mean, I come home from school and, look! The ceiling’s been painted!! Wow! Or, oh look, I painted the hallway and redid the stairs! NO biggie!

Anyways, we have a new nanny, named Fernanda (But she insists on being called “Nanda”. Very bouncy and vibrant but reminds me of Loanda, who called “Anda”. Anyway(Again) I chave to go prepare for the Bat Mitzvah. Wish me luck!

-Magykgirl08

Hey, peeps!! The Bat Mitzvah is OVER!!!!

Hello, people,

Today is the day that Lily and I are relieved from our studies and are now officially are Jewish adults. It was a short service, which kind of passed in a blur for me, and ended with a science show my dad hired, but I’d seen it before, and altogether found it not very interesting. (Sorry, dad, it was the thought that counts) Anyway, we took pictures over the flowers (Which made me sneeze) and got TONS of presents (Which mom won’t let us open because she wants us to write thank-you cards first, but how can you do that without seeing what they gave you? Like: Dear, Grandma, Thanks for the _______ I had a lot of fun with it. Thanks so much, M

Confusing, right? Anyway, without all our sudies, I might have some more time to blog. Peace, Magykgirl08

Mazel Tov, Everyone!!! (And Happy Early Rosh Hashanna)

Hey people!

Today is windy, and very cloudy. We managed to finish our Bat Mitzvah stuff, and managed to sleep all night. We spent the entire next day on the couch watching a star wars marathon(And those things are long) and chilled for most of the day. During that, we found time to open the mountains of presents we received(Thanks, everyone) and managed to go up to the book store to get a few books, so I am content. Also, Rosh Hashanna is on the fourteenth, I believe.  Yom Kippur is nine days afterwards, just in time for us Bat Mitzvahs to fast for the first time. That’s going to be fun. Anyway, I hope the weather will clear up, but that’s like asking mom to NOT make us write the millions of gift cards to everyone.

-Magykgirl08

Thanks for the cough, Jake!

Good morning fellow coughers on the East side. Jacob inadvertently brought home a horrible cough which every member of our family caught, and Fernanda got it too. Lily woke up this morning with a horrible cough, and I think she’s staying home from school.

Audios,

Magykgirl08

Windy, Windy, Milwaukee…

Hello, peeps!

It’s really windy today!!! Plants on our deck are flying off of tables and shattering, and really heavy plants that even I can’t lift are being brushed aside as if it were just a tumbleweed. Yeah. Scary. So, we have band class at  our school, and I just got my flute. But Mr. Lampkins is slightly disorganized, so some people have their instruments and some don’t. Anyway, Maija and I played a couple duets together for the hour he was trying to get organized. It was loud, considering she plays the trombone(But she’s pretty good at it) and I played and octave higher so she could hear me(And I play good too) so band is again today, and hopefully we’ll do something organized. We have to go to Grandma’s Rosh Hashanna party tonight and since we’re such new Bat Mitzvahs, we have to go to the services for both tonight and on Yom Kippur(And fast on it, too)But that’s actually okay with me. My friend just got her new Dsi like me, and I’m helping her out with it. Stats are up! So please try and subscribe to my blog, so when I post, you get an email with a copy of it, and the ability to comment from your e-mail.  Thanks!!

-Magykgirl08

P.S Look for the orange rectangle, labeled RSS, this is the feed that will help you subscribe.

Hashanna Hangover

Hey, people!

Yep, last night was Rosh Hashanna and we went over to Grandma’s house for dinner(And LOTS of leftover cake). Anyway, we stayed up until nine at the synagogue and then drove home. Mom let us sleep in, and here I am now, tired with a headache. I’m going to go lay on the couch.

Bye, Magykgirl08

This is the First Subscription email? Here’s how it works:

Hey, peeps!

If most of the people out there are getting emails right now-don’t mark it as spam. You have subscribed to the magykcal land of blogging. Some of you own blogs, some of you haven’t. But here’s the whole thing. When I post, it delivers an email to the email addresses given to me(Thanks everyone) and you don’t have to check my blog all the time. Ta dahhhh. Ok then, enjoy!

I Got My Kindle!

Hello people!

We got our Kindles in the mail on Saturday! Here;s what they look like:

Thanks to Grandma Geri (gg) for the kindles. They’re the best in the world! Thank-you SO much. I have to skedaddle now, because today is school! Bye!

-Magykgirl08

Sunrise, Sunset!

Hey, peeps!

Yesterday we learned about the seasons. We watched a Bill Nye the Science Guy DVD and you can think of the rest. Trying to cram in things from high school into a half hour video with regular intervals of “Bill, Bill’, Bill, Bill”. It was a little jumbled, but not bad, necessarily. I just finished a new book on my Kindle, called “Silver on the Tree” by Susan Cooper. It’s Welsh based story(So the plot is in Wales) and two of the main characters are welsh born so it got a little confusing with me trying to pronounce “mmfmyfreead” and not having a clue how to. Anyway, Lily’s bugging me to get of the computer, so bye!

-Magykgirl08

Poll Time!!!

Hey, peeps!

Today is election day here in Wisconsin. We are picking the new Governor!!! My Mom is doing the whole election protection  thing, and I can’t wait to see who wins. Please help me out in my hypothesis:

Thanks!

-Magykgirl08

Poll Time……….Again…

Hey, people!

So the race for Governor is getting kinda ugly. When I watch TV,  all I see are commercials for Scott Walker, or Tom Barret, or People criticizing both. It’s making my head go crazy!!! I’ve gotten into the habit of muting commercials. Still, this has inspired a poll. So here it is!

Magykgirl08

Poll Time!!!

(again)

Hey, people!

Today is poll day numero uno! I’ve generally had random polls in the past, but here is the start of a new one.(get ready) All of you guys can vote, and I’ll publish the results later. (So please vote) If you’re getting this by e-mail, click the link below to vote. If not, please just vote. Also, today is the fun run tryouts, and I hope I can win a place in the top 3. The I get to go running on the summerfest grounds(Because if not I’ll be humiliated) Also, to Wondermom, mmyfread translates roughly into Mountains. It’s welsh, and utterly confusing. Thanks!

Thanks again!

-Magykgirl08

Cross Country

Today is my first cross country meet-it’s at Humbolt Park, so it’s close enough to home. It’s in the afternoon, towards 4:00. I really haven’t been to one before, but hopefully I’ll do good. Tomorrow is our field trip to a beach in bay view to “adopt-a-beach”. We’re going to clean it up and take water samples. Then we go to Mcdonalds. The weather is getting darker and darker. I don’t know when we’re going to get rain, but it smells like it.

-Magykgirl08

P.S Her ear the results for the poll: other:18 votes

I don’t like them that much: 2 votes

Windy Weekends

Hello, people!

Today is a very windy day. If I had wings, I would fly away. Anyway, I go some great responses from the polls (Including some unorthodox answers) and it’s really really windy. Mom is going to Woodman’s for groceries (Because we are dangerously low) And I’ll be at home by myself. The grasses outside keep blowing over, and they weigh about as much as I do. For all the people who read the maximum ride series, the website I happened upon is called tvtropes.org, and it criticizes the series in such a funny way that I fell of my chair. Go there and type in maximum ride, and scroll down and enjoy. Also, here is a link for Auntie ZuZu, to Midnight Sun, the draft for Twilight from  Edward’s point of view(Since I think you’d be interested) Anyway, I have to go do nothing at all. Bye!

-Magykgirl08

Brewer’s Game, Glee, and Why the Sky is Blue…

Hello, people!

Today we go to a brewers game with our Tsofim group from a camp we went to over the summer. I don’t know who they’re playing, but it should be fun. This morning  I was watching glee, and it’s the most ridiculously funny thing I’ve seen on television for a while. Also, the sky is a bright blue which brings me back to a day at the lake house with a friend….

Me: The lake is so pretty today, I wish I could see under water.

Friend: Here, borrow me goggles.

Me: Hey, these goggles are a really pretty blue.

Friend: Yeah, I guess.

Me:-puts on goggles- HEY! The sky is BLUE!

Friend: No freaking duh. That’s sad.

Me: I know.

That’s how it went, and she teased me for weeks on my idiocy.

-Magykgirl08

The Woes of Sock-less Feet

Hey, peeps,

Yesterday, before we went to the brewers game, Mom and Dad brought home a HUMONGOUS power cleaner vacuum from the hardware store. They cleaned all the carpets going up the front and back stairs and the nanny’s room(because there were a LOT of stains in there) but when we came home from Sukkot at ZuZu’s and Unca Peek’s house, it was a (Very) damp surprise. Really, I almost fell down the stairs twice and now this morning everything is still damp, and if it’s possible, even wetter. Anyway, school is calling. Bye!

-Magykgirl08

Picture Day!!!!

(Also known as the day of STARING)

So, today is picture day and dad woke me up half an hour early, so I have bags under my eyes(Which does NOT help when you’re trying to look your best) and it’s all just a little confusing. Anyway, girls will be puffing makeup, guys combing back their hair, and people like me wishing I didn’t have to be seen all dressed up in front of everyone. Lily decided to wear all black and looks like a burglar in action. Her hair curling out of her cap brings it down a notch because it’s kinda cute. Anyway, here she comes, all in black, gotta go, because she’s going to kill me if she finds out I posted about her attire.

-Magykgirl08

P.S. We’re both going on the D.C trip in April, where we get to go to D.C for five days, touring stuff and all that. It’s going to be fun, and Lily and I are psyched.

The Woes of Sock-less feet(Part 2) and Babysitting

Hello, people!

Yesterday evening my sister and I went over to our friend’s house for a sleepover. Lily feel asleep around 2  while I went to bed at 4:00. The initial crankiness and sleepiness hasn’t set in yet, so here I am posting. Well, when we came back here, Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa had already went to the Badgers Game. It turns out they’re paying us to watch Jake, and I negotiated a little like this:

Me: Hi Mom!

Mom: Hi sweetie, Listen, can you and lily watch Jake tomorrow? We’ll pay you!

Me: How about $9 and hour?

Mom: WHAT???

Me: Kidding. How about $4? I’m willing to negotiate.

Mom: You make me smile. We’ll see.

And that’s how it went. Anyway, my feet are cold, and after going outside without socks or shoes, I realize sock-less feet are terrible in the fall. Lily just asked me to do something that I couldn’t hear, so I’m going to go tell her the need for louder speaking in this house. If she mumbles it a room away and expects me to hear it, tough luck.

It’s Dark Out! (No duh)

Hey, people!

Today I woke up at 5:45 because I had to make everyone’s lunches because Lily has a humongous headache. It was kind of cool, but it is still pitch black outside, and it’s kinda freaky. Usually, when I wake up at 6:00, I can see the sunrise fairly well, but now, at 6:30, it’s still dark. Hmmmm, we just did a report on this in science class, we reviewed why we have seasons and why the world tilts on an axis. Very interesting. Tomorrow, we don’t have school, because it’s a banking day, and I’m excited. News on TV: some people at a homecoming thing tipped their hay car/cart/barge/large vehicle thingy and got a couple broken bones, nothing serious, but if that’s the lead story, things must be going kinda slow today. Anyway, I have to go do stuff to get ready for the new day, so bye!

-Magykgirl08

Funny Fridays

Hey, people,

Today is a banking day-which means no students are going to school. But that also means that teachers have to go and work their butts off getting out our grades. It’s fun. Anyway, I think I’ll do something today, but I don’t exactly know what yet. It’s sunny and breezy with a slightly crisp side to the temperature. All the leaves are slowly turning orange and falling off. It’s a pretty thing to see. Anyway, on to the fun parts.

-today is a friday(obviously fun)

-it’s also sunny(Pretty cool)

-i get to see my (Darling) cousins today

Also here is the video from glee I was talking about. (At least for the lady gaga lovers out  there) Enjoy!

The Magnificent 12, Michael Grant, and Post-it Notes

Hey, people!

Yesterday I had the honor of going with a couple of friends to see Michael Grant, an aspiring teen author, whose dry humor made all of us laugh last night. I have read all of his books in the Gone Series, kind of like lord of the flies, because everyone over the age of 15 vanishes and the kids are left to fend for themselves in a unbreakable sphere of pain. An engrossing series, I decided it was worth it to read his next book the magnificent 12, on my kindle (Thanks, gg) and discovered it was an ok book. It was kind of short, no more than 100 pages, but on a kindle, who can tell? It was worth it, but I kind of wish it was longer. It took me all of an hour to read it. No big words or anything. I decided in all it was ok. When we were at Michael Grant’s Book Signing, I didn’t have my book with me, and he was kind enough to sign a post it note for me, which is in my book now. Anyone who’s interested in the series, here’s a link:

Green Pancakes-The Cousin to Green Eggs and Ham

Hey, people!

This morning I made pancakes, and you can guess what color. Green! I found some food dye that me and my friend Marika made green cupcakes. You can guess the theme. I had Dad take a picture with the magical iphone, so here it is:
-Magykgirl08

P.S Lily drizzled the syrup while I made the pancakes and green syrup.

Vampires Suck-The Twilight Parody

Hello, people!

The Twilight Parody(Vampires Suck) is a very funny movie-only if you read the books-it’s very competitive with the real story, so it’s hard to understand is you’ve not read the books yet. Anyway, for those who did, I have a link to the home page of the movie, so if you want to (Not saying you have to) you can go watch the funny movie clips they provide. (http://www.vampiressuckmovie.com/)

If not, just enjoy the other news:
Today is sick Monday-everyone here is sick. Even me. I have little cold, sadly. Hopefully, it’s not long term, but I can’t breath out of my nose, so it’s uncomfortable. Anyway, sister calling. Gotta go!

-Magykgirl08

Sick, Sick, SICK!

Hey, people! -snuffle-

Everyone in our house is sick, and mom was so sick, she had to go to the doctor and found out she had a head infection. I’m snuffly and losing my voice, and I have a big event today (The Fun Run) and I can’t afford to be sick, so hopefully I’ll just stop being sick, but I doubt that. Dad is coughing so much you think he would cough a lung out, and Jake is sniffly, because he has a really bad cold from school, and me, I managed to stay cold-free until last week, when someone coughed on me, much to my despair. For those of you who aren’t sick-take all the precautions you can. You do NOT want whatever strain of colds being passed around here. See you tomorrow with the results of the fun run!

Obama’s Little-ahem-Mishap

Hey, people!

Today I was treated to a funny video when President Obama’s presidential seal fell off his stand, and he took care of it perfectly, making  even me laugh(yes, the teenager can laugh) and think how great a speaker he is if he can take advantage of a situation like that and make it funny. Here is the video:

P.S I miss all my little cousins at shabbat. Sorry I have to skip again this week!

Flash Mobs

Hey, people!
I had the pleasure of my mother showing my some rather interesting videos last night. She encouraged me to put one on my blog. Also, remember today is 10/10/10 and there are plenty of people getting married at 10:10 today. Anyway, here is the video:

Yes, We got them

Hey, people!

Yesterday I posted about Lily and me hoping to get ipod nanos. We did get them, and they’re really cool. Here’s the commercial for them. Lily has the green one, and I have the limited edition red one.

Anyway, mom got to go to a lunch where Michelle Obama came out and spoke. She got to shake her hand, and she was ecstatic.

See you guys soon,

-Magykgirl08

P.S what do you think of my new color scheme? I thought salmon was kind of overwhelming, so what do you think?

Foggy Days, Drifting Away…..

Hey, people!

When I woke up today, it was very very foggy. Everyone in the room was remarking about how foggy it was. Visibility has dropped pretty far, so we’re all stuck seeing only a couple feet ahead of us. Lily and I found a funny picture combining Mythbusters and Edward Cullen from The Twilight Saga. Here it is:

The Game in Red-And a Call from the Big Man

Hey, people!

ON Saturday ( a while ago..) Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa went to a Badgers game in Madison, while we watched Jake. I didn’t get the details of the game, but it involved tubas and a funny mascot from the opposing team. I can’t find the pictures, so I’ll just continue on with my post.

I heard about this call last night( I know when dad reads it, he’ll laugh) Apparently, At Ten thirty yesterday, Dad got a very important phone call. You know how he works for AMORIM cork? Well, the phone call was from Mr. AMORIM himself, coming from Portugal and nobody knew he was going. So Dad has been down there since yesterday, and hopefully he’ll come back. Lily is snapping on just about everyone today, including my computer usage skill(I post on my blog very  well, thankyou) anyway, gotta go.

-Magykgirl08

P.S if you e-mail me I might be able to forward those pictures of the game, but they just won’t save to my image program.

Chilean Miners- Ahead of Schedule

Hello, people!

Yesterday night, around 6:00 here, the first rescue capsule was sent down. it looked a little like this:

Also, when the miners did come up, they were given special sunglasses to protect their eyes from light they haven’t seen for 63 days. The rescue capsule, dubbed he phoenix, has to travel down over a mile, which takes about 20 minutes. Round trip, it’s about an hour. The strongest men were rescued first in case anything went wrong with the capsule, they had the best chance of surviving. I believe that at the moment, 9 miners are out, but I could be wrong. The have to get them out before daylight comes, so they’d better hurry. Here’s some pictures:

This was an amazing rescue with almost 2,000 reporters from all over the world staying at this camp. Anyway, gotta go,

Marching Day-and Auditions!

Hello, people!

Today we all go marching in band class. The uniforms we have are splendid, but have a slight tendency to make people faint. They’re blue and silver with puffy plumes on top. We’re marching in the Honey Creek Parade, where basically we march by plenty of little kids wearing costumes and smile(If that’s even possible while playing a wind instrument) Anyway, hopefully, we won’t faint or anything(Because about ten of us did that last year, and Lily even found the time to hand her clarinet to a person and then fainted) But we’ll be outside today, so no worries. Mr. Lampkins is holding a rehearsal this morning, and I hope it ends well. Auditions are this afternoon at CLC where each of us must sing and act. I am going out for the same part as another girl, who has popularity on her side because she repeatedly breaks up and then gets back together with her boyfriend. I’m not exactly sure who’s going to win, but I hope I have a chance. I have to go eat breakfast, so I’ll post later!

The Ipod Nano!!!!!

Hey, people! Today is an exciting day!

For those who know me well, and who know what I listen to, the magical blackjack has died. For those who don’t here is a picture:

BlackjackIt was the music Lily and I listened to. Since it has died, Lily and I are considering new opportunities, including the brand new Ipod Nano:

Cool, right? Well, we’re going to the apple store to try them out, and hopefully mom and dad will let me buy one (Because I have it all saved up)  And lily is getting on my case again. Anyway, hopefully I’ll have something to listen to tomorrow. See you soon,

The Chilly Temperatures…brrrrrrrr!

Hey, people!

Last night the temperature dropped down to 40 degrees. Can you believe it?? Now it’s slightly windy, and chilly.Thankfully, Dad removed the air conditioner left over from the hot summer in our room, because every time the wind blew, we had cold air seep in through the cracks and even through the air conditioner itself. Today’s high is: 55 degrees. How did  we lose those 90 degree days, sunny and warm? Now it’s just cold, and I heard reports of there being snow in the atmosphere which melted on the way down, but that means that it was cold enough to snow if you went high enough. Brrr! Anyway, to chase off the cold, I took a nice warm shower, which helped. Hot water makes everything better! (My Mom is grinding her teeth over my shower time, so I take only 10 minute ones) Gotta go,

-Magykgirl08

P.S I believe that I have a post from two years ago called “how to beat the cold” or something like that. So, if you have the chance, type it in the search box!

Poll of the Week

Hey, people, it’s poll time!

Today is one of the coldest days we’ve had so far in October. It’s chilly! So, if we all remember last year’s weather, we can picture this year, slightly. If I recall correctly, two years ago we had a foot of snow and -20 degrees below zero temperatures. I don’t think Dad let us outside that day. We just huddled on the couch, and then the space heater caught on fire and made a large smelly ring of smoke. Anyways, here is the poll:

-Magykgirl08

Auditions- Again!

Hey, people!

Today is the re-audition. Mr. Drake wasted his time doing something else goodness knows where, and we didn’t have any time to do auditions. So today, we will be singing and acting to get the parts we want. I will be trying out for Sydney Grimm, a reporter, while Lily will be trying out for either the wise old man/woman or the old Shepard/Shepherdess. It’s going to be fun, but for proof of talent, he’s having us sing a song each. I’m singing Nobody’s side from Chess because I can’t think of anything else to sing. Lily is going to sing Apologize, the hit single of last year. Anyway, gotta go,

-Magykgirl08

P.S Wish us luck!!!!

Something I cannot deal with is…..

Cold weather!

Today the weather people with their smiling faces cheerfully told us that is was going to dip in the twenties. The temperature was going to stay around thirty to forty all day. Gasp! Mom had this rule that she could NOT cave in to the urge to turn on the heat. Her date to turn on the heat was November first, which surprise, surprise, is today. She had to turn on the heat yesterday, because it was forty degrees in the kitchen the next morning. Wow. Also, Halloween this weekend was fun. I handed out candy for three hours yesterday for grandma. It was fun, and only slightly cold. I also got a new game called Animal Crossing for my DSi. It’s really fun, and I’m playing it a lot. I have to go, because Lily is barking at me (Literally)

Harry Potter-2D?

Hello, people!

I recently found out that Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows is coming out in 2D. It turns out they did say it was going to come out in 3d, which is the new raze these days, but they said it was better to do it this way, and environmentally friendly, too. There would be no more glasses to recycle or  to throw away.  It was promised to come out in 3d, and some fans are bummed that it wasn’t. I mean, this year’s top sellers were mostly 3d:
Iron man,

Iron man 2,

Alice in wonderland,

Piranha 3d

and toy story three.

The winner through all of these movies was inception. Very cool movie. I hope to watch it one day. Anyway, time to go do something that will please Lily into not yelling at me for one day, so bye!!!

P.S Out of these which is your favorite movie???

Freaky Friday Night

Hey, people!

I’d just like to start by saying Happy Birthday to my cousins. Sorry it wasn’t a good birthday for you last night. Anyway, here’s the story:

It was Shabbat evening and we were just sitting down when My aunt Zuzu said something about Advil. She explained that one of my cousins had a high fever and needed medicine, so I directed her to the medicine closet in the bathroom, and she gave him the medicine. We had just sat down and Unca Peek way holding him, when suddenly he put his hand to his mouth. Unca peek was texting or e-mailing or something at the time, and only noticed a little globule of saliva in his hand. But suddenly, he started vomiting, and that ended the twins’ birthday party. (I would like to point out that, even while he was vomiting in Unca Peek’s lap, Unca peek was holding up his blackberry as not to let it get wet. This means he only had one and a half hands on my cousin, tilting him ever so slightly towards him, bring him and all that came with the poor boy) I have to say, it was a disastrous birthday for both twins, and I hope they liked the presents we sent hastily home with them. Sorry you couldn’t have a nice birthday, you guys, but I’m sure it was memorable.

Love, Your cousin,

What to do when it’s Rainy and Cold

You guessed it, it’s cold today,

But that’s not only it. It’s RAINING. Cold + Rain =Irritable day. I get gloomy on rainy days, so it’s not nice to have a lot of them. Anyway, today is the last day Mom is here, because she’s traveling, and Dad is too. She’s borrowing my new Kindle, which I love but am allowing her to borrow because she’s my mother and I love her. It was a bit sketchy with the controls, but by tomorrow she’ll have it worked out. Also, Bapa got a new kindle, exactly like ours. Congrats! He can now read books in style. And about the technology world, have you SEEN the size of the new ipod touch? It’ tiny! It’s barely a centimeter thick and it’s really cool! Observe:
That’s very tiny. Anyway, I have to go,

Audition Results

Hello, people.

Yesterday afternoon we got our results. Lily got the part she wanted, and she’s thrilled. I didn’t get the part I wanted, but I got one of the leads again (Inadvertently) so I guess I’m happy. Mr. Drake is trying to get the musical done by Christmas, so I hope you guys can all come. Other news: That humongous rain storm has passed over us, but it left very strong winds behind. If someone had wings, they would just fly away out there. Today we are going to the medical college of something or another to learn about something or another. Luckily, it’s a day trip, so now we get to miss most of school. I gotta go,

Hello, Elections!

Today is election day for a lot of states. Also, Democratic control is on the line today, so Mom and Dad are doing election protection today. Mom woke us up at 6:30 and had us take care of Jake, so she could go. I think Dad was already gone by then. Anyway, mock elections in our class went well, and a straight party vote was pretty popular. Also, today is the WKCEs, so we have a LOT of testing today. Anyway, almost time to catch my bus.

-Magykgirl08

P.S Who here is voting today?

Elections-They Sucked

Yeah, you heard it right. Almost no one from the democratic party won. Tom Barrett lost, along with Russ Feingold. It was considered a bad election, and what really annoyed me was that the republicans were gloating on the today show the next morning. In my view, that was kind of cruel. Anyway, if elections go this way now, I wonder how they’ll go in 2012. hmmm. Also, we have the Halloween ball this Friday at our school. I’m volunteering for the decorating squad, so I will be at school for a long time. And did I mention it’s cold out?? It’s cold. The people at school are required to let us warm up before we take our second batch of WKCEs. Bu this year we get no snacks beforehand. Anyway, time to go.

-Magykgirl08

p.s the mock election at our school showed that almost all democrats won at our school. That’s still good, right?

Halloween Ball (Or Harvest Ball, whatever they want to call it)

Hey, people!

Yes, Auntie Zuzu, we are having a dance. You know I want to be at Shabbat, but I’ve already pledged my time and help on the committee and I think that’s a mitzvot. Also, I wanna go, but that’s different. People have bought tickets and there are going to be costume contests and stuff like that. Also, instead of it being in fourth block, like all the other dances, it’s going from 5:30 to 7:30 which means I have to stay after school from 3:30  to 7:30. Sorry I cannot make Shabbat, but looking up on the bright side, next Monday, Lily and I celebrate our 13th birthday!!!!! November 8th! Mom and Dad are taking us to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows(I think that;s how you spell it) in ultra-screen. That means we’re going to see it with a couple of friends. It’s going to be SO much fun. Thanks, Mom and Dad.

Well, I gotta go,

-Magykgirl08

P.S Costume or no costume? Help me decide!!!

I was literally just being born. With my twin sister. Ahhh. Good memories. Yes, today is our thirteenth birthday-we’re thirteen-and It’s also very cold. Anyway, I tried  to use puppy eyes on Mom to give me some cake, which was sitting on the table. She said no. I told her that it was my birthday and that she needed to give me some cake. She said no. I mumbled that if Dad were here he would give me cake. She said Dad had a soft spot for cake. I told her he simply understood the need for cake on your freaking birthday. No reaction. I gave up and came here to the computer, where I am now typing my cake failure. Anyway, a summary: I am thirteen, along with my sister, and Mom will not give us cake. I gotta go,

-Magykgirl08

p.s I started this blog in 2008 right around now. That was almost three years ago. Wow.

Thirteen: How it feels

Hello, people!

Well, like most people, I don’t distinguish the difference from two days ago and today, but that’s just me. Anyway, I must apologize to my parents, about yesterday’s cake tirade. When we came home from school they had flowers and cheesecake, which I think you all know I have a soft spot for. They got Lily some cake that was amazing and had a chocolate bon bon on top. They got her a Lily flower and me a Rose. Very symbolic. Anyway, thanks Mom and Dad. You’re the greatest parents ever. It’s a birthday I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Anyway, now that I’m technically a teenager, I guess Unca Peek will expect me to whine about stuff all the time. Well, starting now, I’m making a point NOT to. Anyway, I have to go,

-Magykgirl08

P.S Thanks again, Mom and Dad!!!

Blog Disappointment

Hello, people!

Well, I think some of you might have noticed that yesterday’s post came out at 7 o’ clock, which is kind of weird for me. Well, it turns out, yesterday, I was watching my siblings finish breakfast when I finished yesterday’s post. Well, it turns out I forgot to press the “Publish” button, so my post sat on the computer screen the whole day while I assumed I had posted it. Imagine my surprise, when almost 12 hours later I come back and see that it wasn’t published. I felt like a failure. I wanted to keep to one post a day, and I had broken the chain. <sob, sob >. So, anyway, yesterday was one of the first read through of the script for the musical “the Big Bad Musical” which is the musical our school will be putting on this year. Lily and I both have over 75 lines, so we have to memorize them soon. (Because Mr. Drake said by thanksgiving, which is in two weeks!!!!) Anyway, that’s going to be hard. I gotta go,

P.S Holiday parade is on the 20 here in Milwaukee! Hope you can some, because we’re preforming in it again!!

Twilight Fans Beware!

Hey, you guys,

Well, it happens that I came across a link to a video that is really funny. For those of you who have seen or read twilight, it’s funny. It’s not as funny if you haven’t, but it implies how awkward the plot of the books was in the beginning.  Here it is:

Very funny? I think so. Gotta go,

Thanksgiving is Soon…….(Gasp)

Hello, people!

Well, today is the very beginning of a very busy week. This weekend is the Holiday Parade in downtown Milwaukee. Our school Band will be marching in that parade. Lily and I will be too. It’s going to be cold, and I’ve been told that my fingers might freeze to my flute if I’m not careful. (!) SO, anyway, on Sunday, Dad is taking us and a few other people to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1. It’s going to be one of the coolest birthday parties ever. Also, this entire week will probably be spent preparing for the guests that are coming. Also, (I don’t know if I’ve talked about this yet) We have a new nanny. Her name is Raphaela, and she’s very nice. Jake absolutely adores her. So far it’s been working out fine. If our family weren’t so crazy in the first place, maybe we wouldn’t  need nannies. :) Anyway, gotta go,

Harry Potter Sneak Peek

Hey, people! Well, as most of us know, Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part one if opening on Friday. I can’t wait! Well, anyway, here is one of the clips I found on Yahoo! which I thought was funny. Enjoy!

The Parade, Birthday Cake and Cranberry Bogs

Hello, people!

Lots to cover today. Ok first off, we spent our entire Saturday at the thanksgiving parade. Our school preformed as a marching band. I have a video, but let me tell you whose who. The right corner on the bottom: The blonde girl holding a flute: Me. The girl right behind her holding a clarinet: Lily. The Blonde lady marching beside us but not in uniform: My mom. The parade was cold and windy but it was going well until we got into televised areas. I was playing, stopping, playing, and my shoelace came undone. <gasp> So, right when I was right next to the camera, I bent down, trying in vain to tie my shoe, march and not humiliate myself on live television. Well, here’s the video:

<upload error225-video format not allowed>

Okay, next up, when we were going to the store to get a cake, we passed this:
Lily replied that the oranges were “Traitors” and that they did not match. We explained that what she probably meant was “Infiltrators” and not “Traitors”. Then, we passed this marvelous cake just as it was being finished. The lady asked us what cake we wanted and we all pointed at the beautiful one right there on the counter. She added some green leaves and our names and we took it home at a discount because Dad decided suddenly to get a Metro Market savings card. Here’s what it looked like:

It was beautiful, and tasty. delicious.

Well, that’s what you missed. I gotta go make breakfast,

-Magykgirl08

P.S Auntie Zuzu: Your cakes are still great!!!!

Tantalizing Turkey

Hello, people!

I trust you all had a great thanksgiving. Well, it’s just a couple minutes after dinner here and by far the most terrific turkey ever cooked has been eaten, along with the basic side dishes. Mashed potatoes, cauliflower, peas, beets, stuffing, rolls, 4 different kinds of cranberries(Unca Peek made wasabi cranberries) crackers, cheese , gravy and pies. Here’s a shout out to Dad and Mom- That was the BEST TURKEY EVER!!!!!!!!. <ahem> Delicious. Very juicy, with a beautiful glaze. I suggested we rub the turkey with lemon pepper, and it helped. At least, I think it did. Also, the cranberries Unca Peek made were very <errr> spicy and sweet. He mentioned to me that he used Wasabi, horseradish and red onions in some of his awkward concoctions. Hmmm. Anyway, in conclusion, turkey was the best ever, cranberrries: Pretty good. Also, here’s a funny picture Dad was passing around:

AAlso, I took some pictures of the turkey right before and after carving. BE JEALOUS:Anyway, you can ask anyone who was there. It was a delicious turkey. Kudos, Dad. The curious thing they found was that even if the turkey said “18 pound turkey” you were only paying for 12. That’s why mom and dad kept getting the cooking time screwed up, and since they caught that glitch this year, as a reward, we get a close-to-perfect turkey. Great job, guys. I have to go and sit down somewhere and groan about how much food I had. I think I need tums for this bellyache. Anyway, adios..

Funny Hanukkah Video/ SNOW!

Hey, people!

Well, here is a funny video of the story of Hanukkah in song form. The song is a ply off the hit song “Dyamite” which topped charts over the summer. Enjoy! I’ll let you know what I get for Hanukkah!

-Magykgirl08

SNOW

Yeah, that’s right, people, SNOW!

Pretty soon you’ll be shoveling 10 inches of snow on the driveway. Feel better now? Here’s how my morning yesterday went.

Mom: And your tsofim trip to camp is on the 18th.

Me: OK, I just wish it would snow, so we could go sledding there. Otherwise we’d just be cold.

Mom: What do you want me to do?

Me: Make it snow!

-5-20 minutes later, I walk outside.-

Lily: Omigod, it’s snowing!

Me: (mute astonishment)

Lily: SNOW!

Me: But the weatherman said it wouldn’t stick to the ground! He said it would melt before we would see it! (The Snow was piling up in little piles that blew with the wind)

Me: whattya know?

I guess winter was just begging to snow more, because according to the same weatherman as before, we have a large, terrible snowstorm headed our way for Friday/Friday night. Scaaaarrryy. Anyway, Hanukkah started last night(We almost forgot, seeing as the calender said Thursday but we remembered all Jewish holidays start the night before) We lit candles, and since Mom forgot, no presents on the first night :( but that’s okay. Anyway, school is calling, and today is another fitness test, to show if we are healthy or not. I hope I’m healthy….Gotta go,

Cold, Windy, Really Glum Days…

Hello, people!

Sorry about not posting-our computer’s been goofy for the last few days, and it’s getting on my nerves. Anyway, I’m sure the weather is one of the main thoughts in our head right now. Starting on Friday-that guy that holed himself up in his car and refused to come out-made us late for school. He kept the standoff going until 10:20. Then, Friday night, we got a lot of snow. Not as much as our northern neighbors, but still a decent amount. Then, on Saturday, the rain washed away the majority if the snow. Sunday morning, ,when we had a couple of friends over for a sleepover, snow began coming down again, and this time it came with a biting, harsh wind! That’s why the weatherman is so gloomy this week. We’ve been having some record lows the past few days. Yesterday was a low of 5 with a high of 13. Cold. Anyways.

In other news…

The Hanukkah party was a lot of fun- thanks, Mom and Dad! We ate latkes and gelt till about 11. Lots of fun. We played dreidle and someone (Sidhe) started hiding all the gelt. Hmmm. Yesterday, I opened the curtains and gelt came down. Very funny. Anyway, one last shout out to Dad and Dan, who did all the stinky latke making. (for those of you who don’t know, a latke is a potatoe/onion pancake that is fried in oil. Very messy) The kitchen smelled the next morning, but it’s no issue… Next big holiday that we’re having is Christmas and New year’s, where we stay up until midnight on the dot and then pass out into our beds two minutes later. Even if it’s new year’s mom still makes us go to bed at a decent 2 minutes or so after the mark. Lots of fun, but we’re usually too tired to protest. I gotta go,

P.s Shout out to Uncle Peek for last Saturday’s Latkes!

Cold, Dark Mornings…

Hey, people!

This morning,  I woke up slightly early to realize that it’s really cold and dark outside. I looked at the temperature, and it was around 21 degrees. Cold, right?Anyway, we got home a little later last night, and mom wasn’t home, but Lily and I totally took over the responsibility of Hanukkah.  It was fast, and we didn’t get presents (Much to Jacob’s dismay) but a little while later I wrapped up an apple and gave it to lily. She didn’t think it was as funny as I did, but it’s the thought that counts, right? Anyway, in summary, it’s cold, it’s dark, and Lily does NOT like presents. At least not apples. Bye!

-Magykgirl08

P.S Big snowstorm showing up for tonight, so be prepared for a couple inches!

A Large Gathering of Warm Familiar People(Or as I like to say, Hanukkah)

Hello, people!

We had Hanukkah at Grandma’s house yesterday. It was lots of fun. Here are some of the highlights:

Well, first, Aunt Elizabeth was there, and she was funny. All the little boys loved her and they all ended up playing games. After lighting the candles, Aunt Zuzu brought out the yarn balls, which have candy and small toys rolled up in them and a large one in the center. The goal is to roll them around crazily until you give Unca Peek a headache(Because he rolled them) and make a big mess. The, we played Dreydle,  a game where you spin a top and bet little gold wrapped chocolates to win. The highlight of that was when Sean, my cousin, found out that the gold “Coins” had chocolate in them.

“THE COINS HAVE CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” So, a very eventful evening. Dad gave us presents, which was very kind of him. Jacob got a monkey which made LOTS of noise (Especially at 8 in the morning) and he loved that. He gave lily a box of mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, because Dad and I have been notorious for stealing Lily’s peanut butter cups. he gave me a box of mini Hershey’s kisses, and a book and engraved pen with my name on it. Thanks, Dad, you rock! Anyway, Grandma made her famous star cookies, which we ate, and then Dylan threw his balloon and it came down right on top of one of the Menorahs, and with a loud bang, the balloon popped, spraying wax all over. So, at the end of the night, there was yarn everywhere, wax sprayed on the side wall, crumbs and gelt(Chocolate coins) wrappers littered on the floor, and if you were lucky, you found a silly band that Lily left behind. All together, a happy Hanukkah was had by all. Tonight is Latke night, which means we will make potato pancakes with grease all over. Mmmmm. It’s going to be stinky, but fun. Unca Peek is already dreaming up toppings, including the Cranberry wasabi sauce. I wonder how that would taste on top of a latke? Hmmm. Well, things to do!

You Think You’re Getting Used to Winter….

Hello, people!

Well, I know this is a post coming from Saturday’s day, but here it is:

You can imagine my surprise when  I woke up on Saturday morning and found that the world was suddenly covered in a downy coating of snow. The world outside had changed so fast from last night that I had to blink a couple of times. When I went outside to pick up Jacob, we had a snowball fight on the way back. Later, on Sunday, my cousin, Daniel J, Lily and I had a snowball fight. It was very fun, but we accidentally broke his igloo that was half finished(There is only so much snow in one yard) Anyway, the snowball fight was fun. Who else here enjoyed the snow? And happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate it. This morning, Jake got the camera we were going to give him. I thought it was great until he woke me up and started taking pictures of me with head gear and a tank top on. Nice, Jake. Anyway, gotta go,

I still love you, Jacob!

Good Family Deed

Hey, people!

I wanted to take today’s post to advertise my literal twin sister’s blog. She posts like I do and has a lot of creative posts. Here is her address:

It’s a lot of cool stuff, so make sure you stop by and mark a bookmark. Also, subscriptions have been updated, so if you do not get an email by my blog daily, leave me a comment and I can get you fixed up(If you wanted to) We still haven’t figured out Lily’s blog subscriptions, because she uses a different editing forma than I do, but we’ll work it out. Just leave a comment!

Winter Concert/Annoying Rehearsals

Hey, people!

Today is one of the day long rehearsals for the winter concert on Thursday. Mr. Lampkins is holding a day long rehearsal, and you can guess that he is going to hold it on the exact day we introduce 3 new topics, and finish up our assessment. Perfect. Hopefully we’ll be able to make up for the work, but seriously, the one day we get a lot of work, he holds rehearsal. We’re practicing for the Winter Concert, where we will be playing Jingle Bells, Up on a Housetop, and I will be playing a piano solo. I don’t know why he had me play one, but I guess I have to. Yeah, I do. I will be playing Carol of the Bells and Fur Elise. Fun, right? In other news, it’s cold out. It’s also cold in Florida, the sunshine state. On the news, people in Florida went out to get gloves and scarves, but since Florida’s always warm, nobody could find any. Also, planes are being grounded because they have ice on their wings. You’d normally say, well, we should de-ice them, right? Well, it turns out they don’t have de-icers in Florida. Huh. It’s getting colder up here, too. I know it’s not below zero or anything, but it’s still really cold!!!! I have to go..

funny pictures-But I DON'T want to believe!

Ipad Artist

Hello, people!

Well, I got the opportunity to play with my dad’s new Ipad. It’s really cool! It has a drawing program which is amazing! I drew a picture! Anyway, it’s a really cool Ipad, but it’s really heavy. I don’t know how people even bear to carry it around all day? It’s so confusing. The touch screen is very sensitive, and it even lets me tap with two fingers to get to the menu! To me, that’s cool!

Anyway, gotta go, my picture is below this because I can’t figure out how to type below it!

Winter Concert

Hello, people!

Well, we have a winter concert coming up at our school. We will be preforming in the band, and doing something to show off the Drama group we’re in. It’s on Dec. 16th at 2:00 pm. You don’t have to come, just letting you know.  It’s usually a long boring event but I hope this year it’ll be different. I hope you can come. We’re not sure what we’re doing for Drama club, because we just found out that we were even in the thing yesterday, but we’ll figure something out. Also, I found out the hard way that oranges do NOT smell so good after being left in a bag for more than a day. (eeewww) Last night was the last night of Hanukkah, and we are holding a party on Saturday. It’ll be fun, smelly, and warm. A lot of people are coming, and us kids are going to play Dreidle with a humongous pot of gelt dad has in the kitchen. Also, New Year’s eve is coming up. I wonder what New York will do this year to make me go “ahhh” It looks like it’ll be exciting. I can’t wait for New Year’s…. OKay, gotta go,

A Closely Intimate Christmas Day Dinner/Lunch

Hey, people!

Well, it was a sight that was typical across the US. Christmas pop droning in the background, smells of almost every chocolate dessert in the world drifting into the dining room, where we all sat, stuffing ourselves with prime rib and mashed potatoes. For dessert, Lily and I cooked up some cheesecake cupcakes(For those of you who don’t know, cheesecake is my favorite dessert!!!) and then we had brownies and some great Peanut butter-chocolate bonbons!! It was cool! I just want to say, “Have a great holiday, everyone, and be grateful for your family” or something along the lines of that. I have to go groan about my over-filled stomach in the corner somewhere. Thanks to everyone who came, and to those who didn’t, have a happy Christmas, everyone! (Also, Lily says hi!)

New Theme

Hello, people!

As you have noticed, I have a new theme up. I put that up last night as a reminder that it’s winter, not summer, even though the 12 degree temperatures told us that already. Well, the winter concert was yesterday, and we played, people sang, we joined the group of parents watching and just sat down. I played my pieces, Carol of the Bells and Fur Elise. I didn’t have a pedal, which sucked, because I know that some of you know that without a pedal, you take away half of the music. Then, my friend sang, and she has a good voice, which was a great addition to the show. I sat there for what seemed like hours before it was time to go. When I had to wait backstage, I was so nervous. It was just piano playing, but I was still scared. Also, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, we saw HMS Pinafore the night before. It was a very interesting musical. Lots of girls in large foofy dresses, and lots of funny scenes. Thanks, grandma and grandpa, I had a lot of fun. We finally got a new computer monitor, and it’s really sharp, showing me how much I was missing of a better monitor. My last post had a concluding funny picture, so here is today’s:

Ice Skating (Wait, Already????)

Hey, people!

On Saturday, Lily and I decided to go ice skating. Mom was game, and our friend Oscar, owner of the blog cartoonsincorporated.org was ready to skate. Mom had her fancy skates that she never grows out of. I, on the other hand, have grown out of multiple skates, and now have to wear the old pair that mom said “Was older than me” <gasp> Anyway, Lily rented skates, except one of them kept making her slip, so she had to go trade them in. We went to the Pettit, the famous Milwaukee Ice center, and skated all day. We played games when two people hold the arms of one person and at the same time pull/push him/her ahead of us. It was a lot of fun. Finally, we had to say goodbye to our ice skates and go to our Overnight, at the JCC camp out in Fredonia. We took the bus there, and there was at least a foot of snow everywhere. It was amazing. We played in the snow for hours, and had so much fun. I didn’t get a lot of sleep that night, but it was fun all the same. I have to go now, but one last thing:          (-magykgirl08)

Marquette Women’s Basketball Game!

Hello, people!

Today the girls in my fitness class are going to see a Marquette game. It’s going to be a lot of fun! We were assigned a player, and we had to make signs for her. When I saw pictures of these people, wow. They’re like seven feet tall! Also, it snowed last night. Nothing serious, but enough to put a few inches on the ground. Like I said, not a problem. Brett Farve may have to end his career without coming back. He sustained a head injury when he was sacked by a rookie. Wow, that’s like the 2nd time this month he’s gotten hurt like that. Maybe he should either get better defense, or maybe even leave for good. Everyone knows that Farve is a target in the game. He’s fast, but he’s aging. Hmmm. Anyway, I have to go get ready for the game! I’ll tell you all about it later!!!

P.S

Roller Skating!!!!!!! :)

Hello, people!

Today is the last day of school until Winter Break! I can’t wait for it to be over!! We get to go roller skating as part of our reward for the day. It’s going to be fun, but with one drawback-I can’t roller skate. I can in line skate, ice skate, and dance on my toes, but I cannot do those tricky 4 wheel skates. It’s utter madness. Well, we all have to try, right? Well, I’m going to try, but don’t crticize me if I come home with bruises. I have  some wacky friends, who think roller skating means “Lets push this innocent friend of ours  until she falls over 17,000 times!!” Yeah, not fun. Anyway, we have a piano recital tonight, at 7:30 at the East Castle Place. It’s more of a Christmas recital, but I will be playing Jewish songs. Lily too. Well, I hope roller skating goes well,

Green Bay Packers

Hello,

There are some gloomy subjects to blog about in the world right now. The shooting in Arizona, or how the congresswoman is doing. I won’t blog about those things, mostly because everyone else (the news, other blogs) have covered it fairly well. Instead, let’s talk about the Green Bay packers. Since they won, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Maybe they’ll make it farther, who knows? Anyway. Today is the Honors Luncheon, which basically honors kids in the school who either got perfect attendance or a GPA of 3.0 or higher. It’s going to be fun, mostly because we get out of class. Also, to top off the hysteria, it’s school group picture day. All the clubs get together and take a picture. Yay. It’s a busy day, and the teachers are most likely going to put on a movie because so many kids will be in and out all day. Anway, I gotta roll.

Let’s Get Back

Hey, people!

Well, it’s time to get back in the groove. For me, school starts tomorrow. Many people went back today instead. It’s time to get motivated to wake up on time! (Because I’ve been waking up at 9 for a while now) Anyways. 2010 in review has sparked a lot of viewers. My friend’s blog got similar stats, but I still take home the prize of posting the most. I don’t know if it’s just me needing to put my thoughts in writing or just feeling obligated to update people. I don’t know. It’s been a great year, and the only thing sweeter would be if wordpress paid me. Sigh. Oh well, let’s look toward’s 2011. What were your resolutions? Mine was to read a book my grandmother wanted me to read that I’ve put off for a while. I finally read it yesterday, and enjoyed it. See what you can do? Tell me your resolutions.!!!!!!!

The Warm Up

Hey, people!

Well, there seems to be a warm up in the horizon. We already have temperatures at 20 degrees. I’m hoping that we get some really warm temperatures soon. Do you know how warm it is in San Fransisco? 62 degrees!!! I’m jealous.

So, you’re probably waiting for me to post pictures of the musical, right? Well, the only pictures and videos I have are on my Dad’s phone, which is currently traveling with him. So, I must wait for him to return. Anyway, the last show was great, and we took a very long bow at the end. On Monday, I invited some of my friends over for a cheesecake party. My friend had had a pie party the day before, but we couldn’t make it, so I had the second party at our own house. We made cheesecake, and it was enjoyed. In art class, we’re going to see a Cuban print maker, where we will see his ideas for prints and make our own.

I gotta go, Lily’s calling (literally)

School/Snow, Two WONDERFUL Combinations…..

Hey, people,

Today I woke up and realized that I could no longer sleep until nine. I had to get up at 7 and try my best to stay awake. Also, it took me a while to realize that there was snow outside(i was tired) and it was weird. Finished the book John Muir, the story of my boyhood for grandma. Now, I must go to school, and I can already feel the bags underneath my eyes. I made eggs for Lily this morning, and she ate a miniscule amount, saying she was “full”. It was her way of saying “I don’t think you cooked them right”. I’m new to cooking eggs, but I really like making them. I think I do well. Now, I’m checking The Today Show, and they’re saying we’re going to get temperatures in the 10′s. Hmm. Can you believe that Florida is getting 70 degree weather? Ugh! Just jealous, I suppose. Our new school Music Program this year is making all Band and Orchestra Students stop playing until March. We have to let the kids who didn’t want to take either take “General Music” I’m a little ticked off, because it means I can’t keep playing my flute for, say, 3 months. That’s a GREAT way to get out of practice. Well, I have to go,

P.S No one told me their resolutions! I’m crushed!

Returning to School-Again

Hello, people!

Today is a slightly gloomy day. The sky outside is a beautiful color. I’m not exactly sure how to describe it. Lavender streaked clouds, with a beautiful light blue in the background. It is beautiful, but gloomy too, because all together it looks a little bit gray, with a faraway look. Anyway, today is our second day back at school. I was nervous something would happen yesterday. I was right. Anyway, hopefully today will be better. No more old grudges. Everyone just needed to get back to their old habits and get used to being with people they may hate or just dislike in general(Not me, just some other kids) Also, I hardly recognized anyone because they all got haircuts. I got a haircut too, but it was just a trim. It was kinda scary. I went to the library yesterday and got tons of books. No matter how well you know me, with books is how I feel better if I had a bad day. Then, of course, Jake came up and tickled me, which made me feel tons better. Even if it’s cold outside, we all can hope to get better. I have to go practice piano.

The Worst is Over-Maybe?

Hey, people!

This marks the very first week of school after the holidays. In my post “Let’s get back” a few similar things were reproduced in Oscar’s blog. For those of you who can’t imagine it, we’ve had to get up earlier and go to bed earlier. No more sleeping in, and there’s a lot of things shoved on you in the morning. I know it sounds like complaining, but if you could stay up until 11 every night and sleep in until 10 for about two weeks, it seems fairly hard to break that pattern. <yawn>. Anyway, or school week is ending as we speak, and we get two glorious days of the weekend. The sky’s color is a little different today. Still beautiful, but darker, in a way. We watched Human Target last night, and we all thought it was funny. We can’t wait for the next episode. We are beginning to read To Kill a Mockingbird in English class. To my dismay, I’ve already read  the book, along with my sister and friend, so we cannot make accurate predictions and aren’t usually allowed to answer “what if” questions. We know what’s going to happen, and pacing ourselves in this books while we crawl through chapter and chapter is my nightmare. I love reading books, and I would love to read this one again, but we are only allowed to read what she allows us and not any more. It’s basically the opposite of what I want to do, but she’s the teacher. So, we’ve spent three days reading three chapters when I’m pretty sure I could almost finish the book by then. <sigh> It’s a great book, and I want to read it again, but the kids in my class read it so slowly, and I feel like pounding my head. There are some intermediate words, but a lot of them stumble through them and realize that they got it wrong a paragraph earlier, and go back to read the whole thing correctly. Ugh. Well, I can’t complain, not really, because I know not everyone loves to read like I do, but still. Anyway, I must go practice piano.

Snow-Snow-Snow-SNOW!

Hello, people!

Well, yesterday was fun-it snowed all day and everyone I knew either went sledding or some other winter sport. This is the first time we’ve had good snow in a while, and everyone took advantage of it. Lily called the Featherstons(If that’s spelled wrong, my program spelling check hates me) and we all went to Lake Park to ice skate. We ice skated, and then went down the slide, which was covered in ice and basically threw us out of the opening. Collin decided to play on the bars, and fell, so we had to go home. We all sipped out tea and hot cocoa, and then Lily asked me to make biscuits, so I did. Then I had to make a second batch, because everyone loved them. Then, I went out to shovel later, and we all went to sleep. It was a long day, and the snow continued on to fall until midnight. Well, since there’s school today, I gotta go.

Musical-Again!

Hello, people. It’s that time of the year again!

We are having a musical at our school. It’s called the Big Bad Musical. It’s basically a courtroom where we put the Big Bad Wolf on trial. Maija and I will  be the lawyers. I’m the plaintiff, and she’s the defense. It’s going to be fun, mostly because it’s funny we’re both best friends, making it hard not to break out laughing when we have to glare at each other. Anyway, the musical is on January 21st, one morning performance,  and one evening performance. Then, the next night is another evening performance. It’s going to be fun, with off key voices and bad choreography,  but it’s going to be cool. It’s that part of preforming that’s kinda funny. I mean, if we didn’t screw up so horribly, it wouldn’t be funny. It’s only funny if they write a funny plot line. Anyway, hope you guys can come, come and see us kill any reputation we’ve had in the past. I gotta go,

Dress Rehearsal!!!

Hey, people!

Well, the morning is very tense at the moment-our dress rehearsal is today, and the musical is on Friday. All of us are kinda nervous (which means REALLY nervous) It’s the first time doing the entire thing with microphones. Some of you guys might remember last year’s musical, The Nifty Fifties. It was ok, and by that I mean it was pretty close to a disaster. This year, the script is shorter and the theme is different. What is it about? Well, according to our drama coach, he thinks it’s about The Big Bad Wolf (Laren) who is put on trial. The Plaintiff (me) and the other cases filing against him are testifying that yada yada yada he did bad stuff yada yada yada…The Defendant, Mrs. Evil Stepmother (maija) will be defending Mr. Wolf and giving us sneers and morals (Why do the bad guys always grow and deliver morals at the end? Not fair) Lily will be the arbiter of all of this, as she will be playing the Judge. There’s not as much singing as last year, but the songs are more serious. I happen to have a solo this year (I’m not sure if I’m thrilled about it yet) but we’ll have to wait and see. Well, I need to go make breakfast,

-Magykgirl08

p.s wish me luck!!!

Musical-TODAY!!!

Hello, people!

Thanks for all the inspiring comments-I hope we do well today. If you didn’t already know, today is our musical, where we will be preforming for the students who bought tickets. I sold tickets with my friend Maija yesterday, and we sold over 200 altogether. It’s going to be fun, ladies and gentleman, so maybe you can make it. There’s going to be one in the morning and one at night. I hope you guys can make it, and if not, wish us luck(Because we’re gonna need it)

-Magykgirl08

P.S Lily and Loanda made this as a good luck present-

(If you look closely, it spells “J”)

Thanks, Loanda and Lily, you guys are made of awesome sauce!

The Last Show

Hey, people!

Yesterday was the day of our first two showings of our musical. Tonight is the last show. A lot of you guys went to yesterday’s show, and gave raving reviews. I hope some of you will also come tonight. I have a clip that Loanda took of the second show, but since her phone is dead, I cannot show you it. <sigh>. Anyway, tickets are five dollars, sold at the door. I’m guessing it’s better than last year’s musical………..Anyway.  It’s going to be a great time, and I will most likely get some photos from Dad tonight. Gotta go eat breakfast,

Where’s the Snow?

Hey, people!

Well, as I was enjoying a nice weekend at my grandparent’s house, the news people were making a big deal about the impeding snow that was supposed to come last night. As far as I can see, there hasn’t been a flake of snow on the ground. Does everyone freak out about snow? I just wish it would snow properly. I mean, it’s almost February, and the most we’ve gotten is 4 inches. The weather people just make a big deal over nothing sometimes. But, as I watch that large band of snow that supposed to come Tuesday. Hmmm. SNOWDAY!

-Magykgirl08

A Whole Lot of Awesome!

Hey, people!

Well, the packers won. We’re all pretty happy. Except for a few steelers fans in my class, who keep saying that the packers won because “they suck”. I’m sure this makes much more sense to them then it does to me.

I’m debating getting a new fish-as you know, most of my other fish have either died or have gotten boiled to death. Sigh. I guess I just don’t have the skill to keep them alive. Maybe I shouldn’t kill another fish. Hmm.

Anyway, It’s going to get cold, and fast. We’re going tubing tomorrow, at Sunburst, and it’s going to be 8 degrees! It’s really fun, but the fun is limited until your toes fall off. Anyway, the week has been pretty awesome except for me getting sick. Another plus. Yay. Anyway, to balance that out, I went to the library yesterday and spent an hour reading and getting all the books  I want. Now, I am quite content. But, I must go,

-magykgirl08

P.S Have any of you read the book, I am Number Four?

Snow- Be Careful What You Wish For…

Hello, people!

MPS is not closing our schools today, so I have to go to school. well, concerning my last post: Plenty of people, not only in the comments but in real life came up to me and said “Be careful what you wish for”. Well, I wished for it to snow. Maybe I’ll get my wish. Then again, there’s a lot of cons to snow. I guess I wasn’t clear enough in my wish: I wish that it will snow tomorrow. Better? It’s giving you a head’s up, so you can’t really complain…Anyway. I just hope we have some snow because I’m dying for a SNOW DAY. Right now, it’s cold and windy outside, and the weatherman says there’s this humongous storm system coming our way with almost 2 feet of snow. Hmmmm. I think that qualifies my specifications. Smile. I gotta go eat breakfast, but you guys have fun with the snow!

The Snow, The Wonderful Snow!

Hey, people!

Well, I got my wish. We’ve got a LOT of snow and it’s still blowing around. It’s a lot of snow, and we’re almost snowed in by the back. Our weather stations are going crazy, even though the snow’s gone. Last night, it was snowing and blowing until you could hardly see anything. Well, enjoy your snow people, and stay safe!

P.S Do you guys like the snow? I like having a snow day.

School Day Does Not Equal Snow Day

Hey, people!

Well, we got two days off, and I was crossing my fingers that they might just cancel Friday because there was only one day left, and that they should just think “hey, let’s just give them one more day”. But Nooooo. They didn’t. So I must go to school, and to try to finish my forensics piece, and memorize it, all in one day, because I have to go to the Forensics meet on Saturday, and I’m not even close to ready. Sigh. I’m going to embarrass myself in front of everyone. I don’t want to do that, but I really haven’t memorized it yet. Let’s just hope I can memorize it overnight. Yay. Anyway, I have a photo:

That’s our backyard, and we played in it all day. It was fun. I gotta go,

Hey, People!

Today I’m going to expand all of my time on advertising. My blog is ok in that area, so I want to show of someone else’s blog today. My sister’s blog, www.koalabearlily.blogspot.com is a pretty cool place to be. She does a lot of artsy stuff, and has a real cool way of looking at things. It’s pretty neat.

Anyway, since I am suffering from a bad cold, I have made my way through coughing and sore throats to a runny nose that’s making me miserable. When I talk, I sound like I have earplugs up my nose.

Also, in art class yesterday, we finished up our Oaxacan wood carvings.  We didn’t actually get to make them out of wood, much to my disappointment, but we finished them. It’s cold out today, and they cancelled our tubing field trip, and moved it to the day we’re out of town. Sigh. Perfect timing. Anyway, my fingers are getting numb, so I’m going to move to another room,

Evolution of Dance

Hey, people!

I came across this while eating lunch. When my parents came home, this is what we all giggled about for a while. Sadly, I did not get all the references, but Mom did. Here it is: (I know it’s 6 minutes long, but it’s worth it!)

Wisconsin Lawyers

Hey, people!

I’m going for a political vibe today. As most of you know, my mom is a lawyer. She and Dad were talking about this when I woke up, and they showed it to me. It’s really awesome, and has a really cool soundtrack. I thought it was interesting, so you have to watch it!!!!!!

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

-Magykgirl08

P.S I miss you too, Loanda!

I’m Bacccckkkkk!

Hey, people!

Well, we’re back. All in one piece. It was SO much fun, and I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Well, my friends sent me a really funny parody of the trailer for Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. Enjoy:

Protests in Madison

Hello, people, sorry for the delay in posting,

Yesterday, Lily, me, Mom, Dan, Kari, Ethan, and Collin got in the minivan and made our way to Madison. We had all made signs earlier, and they were pretty funny. Well, when we got there, we spent the day protesting with our large signs. We were very popular, Ethan’s got the most pictures though. Here are some pictures I could scrounge up:

(that’s meeeeeee)

Anyway, we had a fun time fighting the power, and we protested a lot more after that. The Capital was filled with people, but not as many as when dad and mom went. It was fun, and the signs were very creative.

-Magykgirl08

P.S Did anyone else go protesting?

Rebecca Black: Worst Music Video EVER

Hey, people!

if you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you need to do two things:

1. Stop living under a rock; that sounds uncomfortable.
2. Thank god you haven’t heard “Friday” by Rebecca Black.

At more than 16,000,000 hits in seven days, she’s basically the most popular thing on the internet. Unfortunately for her, the reason she’s so popular is because it’s the worst sounding music video. A nice touch was rhyming bowl and cereal. She’s got a very nasal voice, which makes the already terrible lyrics even worse. Even I would choose JUSTIN BIEBER over this. And as you know, I hate the tween sensation. Absolutely hate him. And yet, I would listen to him before even coming near this song. Please, enjoy!

P.S Tell me what you think in the comments!!

Snow, Juice, and Random Polls

Hello, people!

Well, as I usually do, I give an update on the weather: This morning I woke up and saw lots of humongous snowflakes. They were really big. But, I have to say it, I miss summer. Winter is ok, but after a while, you just get tire of it after a while.

Anyway, this is one of my top ten favorite pictures:

(It’s supposed to say, “death to all jews”) He obviously doesn’t know how to spell it. (Shh… don’t tell him!)

Anyway, here’s the random poll that was promised. Please do yourself and me a favor by voting, so I know I get views on this blog!

-Magykgirl08

Well, They Passed It :(

Hello, people,

Well, the passed their bill. I can’t say I’m happy at all about it. I don’t think they know what they’re doing. It went through last night. Thousands of people lined up around the capitol and even broke the ladies room window to crawl in. Now they’re inside the capitol, asking for a recall. Hopefully we’ll go protesting this Saturday, with our awesome signs. It’s going to be grim, though.

Well, I gotta go, but if you can, try and go protest,

Science Experiments

Hello, people!

Well, we went protesting this weekend, and it was COLD. It was also windy(Of course) but the sun stayed out for most of the day. Let me tell you, I’m not a claustrophobic person, but there were so many people there, I could hardly move in one direction. I couldn’t see, because I’m short, and people kept bumping into me. Just my luck, that while Korabu and I were trying to escape, we get stuck in a flow of people going the OTHER direction, and we got stuck behind a lady with a 2-seat stroller trying to get through. Do the math. Unless she tried to barrel through and plow into people, there was no way she was getting through anytime soon. I timed it on my watch, and it tool 30 minutes to get out. Yeah. Anyway…

We started our science experiments last week, and we were supposed to have the data in by today, which means bring it to class or ELSE. Korabu, Lily and I went all over town in search of materials, including my search for pet grass, which is amazingly hard to find in winter. Supplies collected, we returned to find that Lily’s experiment wasn’t going to work. She was going to test how fast flash paper(A magician’s paper, that, when you light it, disappears in a flash of fire) burns in either direct light through a magnifying glass, or through a prism, where the beam of light is divided into 8 colors. Well, we found out that flash paper doesn’t burn under a lamp pretty fast, so we had to revise her experiment. It was fun, I got to hold the camera. My testing took longer, from 4:00 to 9:00, so it wasn’t as much fun, but I have data, and that’s what counts. Well, I gotta go,

A Lot of Stuff

Hey, people!

Well, since I have neglected to post in a while, I have a lot of stuff to go over. So, get your notebooks out, and take notes. I know last time I talked about going to the Science Fair at the Milwaukee county zoo if I got chosen. Well, my dream came true, and Me, Michael, Alfred, Michael, and Corbin all got chosen to go to the zoo. Once there, we had to set up on the first day and come back for judging the next. My diorama includes water in a pan, so I added it the first day, and put a no touching sticky note on it. Sadly, the next morning, my entire thing was knocked over and i had to apologize over and over again to the girl next to me whose log book was ruined. Someone had come and knocked over my pan and didn’t set it back up. My poster had some water damage, but not too much. The day continued on, and we were assigned three judges. It took a while, but finally my first two judges came (You have three) and judged my poster. Sadly, my third judge never showed up, so I had to explain all of this to a fill-in judge who could really have cared less. We walked around the zoo for the rest of the day, and when we got back there were awards. I am proud to say I received third out of all of seventh grade in Milwaukee. Mrs. Porter gave me a hat in celebration, but I don;t know where it is. Well, that’s about that for the science fair. Maybe I might just receive an A this time.

I know I also was talking about Soccer. Well, my fingers crossed helped. I got on to the soccer team, along with three other kids in my class. Sadly, all three of those girls quit within the second week. Now, we had no subs, so we had to call back the kids who DIDN’T make it in, and have them play. No offense, but they’re like:

Girl: -kick-

Fill-inGoalie: OH! A ball! -Ducks-

(Ball heads directly into goal.

Yeah, that’s how it goes. Our first game is sometime around April 30. I’m not sure. The newbies can’r play, so we’re going to have to work very hard.

Another topic ( I know, this is taking a REALLY LONG TIME TO TYPE)  I made it into the talent show, mostly because I didn’t actually think it was all that big of a deal. Well, I am going to be playing the keyboard. I will be playing Axel F, the theme from Beverly hills cop. It’s going to be fun, but, once again, I hadn’t realized it was this big of a deal. They’re even having judges! Anyway,  I could go on, but this typing is making my fingers numb. I have to go,

Pajamas, Science Experiments, and No Laughing!

Hey, people!

Well, yesterday was a fun day, but today is even more interesting. It just so happens that I’m on Student Council, and I found out we were having a spirit day today. Pajama Day. All of the kids on student council are expected to participate. That means I have to as well. So, here I am, dressed in pajamas, ready to go to school. Lily’s trying to get me to take a stuffed animal with me, but I have some other stuff I need to do today, which brings me to our next topic. Today ALSO happens to be the day where we present our science experiments to the judges and kids at our school and see if we qualify to go to this humongous field trip thing that’s very important, blah blah blah. So, I will be cheerfully presenting my project in my pajamas. It’s gonna be fun! Another thing I did, which was yesterday, I have to say was kinda silly, but you can’t laugh. All right. Well, I was in the bathroom, waiting for my friend Megan to come out, and I was leaving out the door. Well, our bathroom has a corner where the door has to go, and you can’t see anything there. I turned the corner, and my friend Jenna jumped out at me and scared me half to death. I jumped in the air, screamed, and ran into Megan all in one UN-choreographed moment. Jenna and Megan and Shay, my friend, were all laughing. I then spun around and hit my head on the towel dispenser. Ouch… Anyway, I have a lump on my head, and I made the soccer team ( which I’m SO HAPPY ABOUT!!!!!!) Anyway, an interesting two days. I also had a guy on my blog looking up fat squirrels eating nuts. Huh.

Results, Field Trip, and Soccer!

Hey, people!

Well, if you didn’t know, our seventh grade team had a science fair last Friday. The top 3 people are picked by the judges that came through, and the last two are picked by the crowd. There were a LOT of people. Well, fingers crossed, we get our results today. The top five get to go to the Milwaukee Public Zoo for the MPS wide competition. I hope I make it… Well, fingers crossed. Today, we get to go to the Milwaukee Public Museum to see the mummies. Sounds like fun.  Along with that, I have my first ever official soccer practice. I made the team, and I’m really proud of myself!!!! It’s a really busy day, so I gotta go, but, once again, fingers crossed!

Rainy Days, Never Going Away……

Hello, people!

It’s been an okay weekend weather-wise. Sadly, today it’s rainy and wet out. Anyway, I think I wanted to point out some easter fails:

The Zombie Bunny:

sketchy bunnies - Just Wanting Some Lovin'

The Bunny trying to eat the redhead:

sketchy bunnies - He Ate the Ears and Head First

And the awesome win of eggshellland:

sketchy bunnies - Easiest Easter Egg Hunt Ever

Anyway, starting today, spring break is officially over. Sadly, we’re going to Washington D.C next week, so you won’t see me posting here for a while. I’ll try to post pictures, don’t worry.

Passover ended last night at sunset, and we celebrated with pizza and happiness. It was fun. Hopefully it’ll be warmer tomorrow, since I have a soccer and a mandatory meeting to go to D.C (What is it with these mandatory meetings, all through the school day, “Would all the kids going on the D.C trip report to room 244″ We do, and it’s just for her to pass out a flyer that says, “Guess what, your child is going on a trip! How unbelievable is that? Now, here’s the bill) So so so so so very much fun. We watched Mama Mia this weekend, and that was fun. The guy who played Sam, though, what’s his name (?)well, he really needed some more voice lessons. We also watched the king’s speech. I have to say, I’ll give it five stars. Beautiful story, and it was sad, too. I was completely focused on the movie I didn’t even know the time it ended. Wonderful story. Anyway, breakfast is calling,

Rebecca Black: Why I Love Parodies

Hey, people!

I’m sure a couple of you remember a post I did a few days ago, a video by somebody called Rebecca Black. She sang possibly one of the worst music videos ever, and is now the number one most disliked music video on YouTube. Now, she and her parents (Because she’s only 14) are suing the company that produced the video. Not clear on why, but if my music was that bad, I’d sue. Anyway, as part of this week’s funny jokes, I have some interesting parodies. (Note, if you have not seen the original, please look for one of my earlier posts, or watch the original, which will help clear up these other ones)

Here’s the first one, which is a biblical parody. Instead of “partying, partying” it’s now “Worshipping”. Not my favorite, but here it is:

Next up, we have a death metal parody. (Note, please turn down your speakers, or you will have some explaining to do to your other family members)

Next up, we have Conan O’Brian’s parody. Very funny. He obviously got ripped off.

Finally, we have the parody done on April Fool’s day on the late night show, done by Stephen Colbert. Possibly my favorite:

Well, if you’ve managed to watch all those videos like I have, congrats. If you haven’t, well, I’m a little disappointed considering it was the whole point of this post. I-Phone Users: Please look at these videos later if they don’t load. It’s worth it. Well, I have to go eat some breakfast,

Warm Days……And Then Cold Days

Hello, people!

Well, that was a surprising warming trend. We had temperatures up in the 80′s, people! Lily and I spent the afternoon biking around with our friends. We went to the beach, and biked all over. It was fun to finally be back up on a bike. Sadly, that fabulous day was never going to last. Today, our high temperature is 58. Sigh. That’s still warmer than last week. Maybe it’s a slow warming trend? Hmmm. Anyway, our piano keys are sticking, most likely the result of our alarmingly fast warming trend. The e, c, and d are all sticking, which means I can’t play anything. Sigh. (Again) Anyway, for those of you who use Yahoo!: There is a new app out on wordpress that allows you to check my blog and see post updates via Yahoo! mail. Interesting. I’ll let you know how to do that once I figure it out. See, that’s the problem with wordpress. They assume we’re all blog geeks and understand everything. I don’t. So, I have to spend hours on wordpress trying to understand how it works. Last night, that big thunderstorm that was supposed to hit us? Nada. In fact, one place in northern Wisconsin, the city of Merril, was hit with a twister last night. Right now, the today show is covering this. I kinda have to bring this all together, so, if you saw last post’s videos, cool, if you didn’t, scroll down a couple times and check them out.

Technology- Even Scaring Me

Hey, people!

Well, before we start our LOVELY chat about technology, why don’t we see what crazy things we did yesterday? I’ll start. For most of you who know me, I go through my books pretty fast. SO, last night, I was out of books and asked Korabu to drive me to the Library. Well, since I go to East library a lot, they all know me as the girl who brings a big bag and gets tons of books. So,  when we went to Central Library, nobody there knew me. So, I tried to keep a straight face at the checkout line:

Me: Hi (hands library card to employee)

Employee: Hello, (Hands it back after scanning)

Me: (Looks away, trying not to laugh)

Employee: -click-, -click-, click- click- click-

Me: (Nervous laugh)

Employee: (More urgently scanning) -CLICK, Click Click CLICK CLICK CLICK

Employee: (Very frustrated look on his face, looks back when his coworkers are trying not to giggle)

Me: Thank you sir!

And that was how it went. I returned home red faced from trying not to laugh, and Korabu has given me the name, “Bag lady”. This implies something else, but in the library, I am proud to carry it.

Anyway, to our discussion of technology. It seems like everyone I know seems to have one form or another of Apple’s IPhone, I Touch, or Ipod. I’m not a stranger to this stuff, Lily and I both have Ipods, but sometimes it moves too fast for me. For those of you who subscribe, I know you guys use your phones to read this. Well, if you are, pat yourself on the back. You have technology, and are keeping up with it. I, on the other hand, STILL have no cell phone  (Hem hem, MOM) and I still think that I wouldn’t be stuck behind my cellphone all day if I did have one. But, I’m not here to argue about my dream phone. Let’s move on.

In English class, we read The House on Mango Street, which I’m sure would have been a lovely chapter book (Seriously, it was 65 pages long) but the way our class had to string out each chapter and analyze what was clearly in front of them was very annoying. I’m sure I could’ve finished the book in a half and our, but rather, our class took two weeks. Now that we’re done, I feel a little better.

Mom brought home a new computer monitor, and as I’m typing here, my eyes still can’t get used to it.  Kinda scary, considering our old monitor was nothing near the size this one is.

That warm day on Sunday was nice. I miss it. Now we have temperatures in the 50′s, and while I love WARMER temperatures, I still love WARM temperatures better. Anyway, I have to go put a jacket on, because my arms are cold,

P.S What do you think about my new theme?

Movie Review: The Dead Poets Society

Hello, people!

Well, yesterday was very mixed up with so much stuff to talk about. I had soccer practice yesterday. It was okay, mostly because I got paired with the people who weren’t the newbies. They got their own practice because they’re still trying out for the team. Since we only have eleven people, they’re on the team even if they can’t move. My frustration with the newbies grows:

Me: (Chasing ball) Stop that ball! (It’s too far away from me, about to go into the street.

Newbie: (Glances at ball) Hey, you might want to get that, or something. (waves at ball, looks at me)

Me: (Grabs ball after a long chase down the street) -FRUSTRATED RAGE-

She wasn’t doing anything, and it went right next to her. She just stood there and looked at me like it was my job to go chase a ball that was already 50 ft. away from me. Very frustrating. I know that if they’re going to be on the team, I’m going to have to let my frustrations go. Sadly, they’re so frustrating, that it’s hard. Anyway…

We watched the movie, The Dead Poets Society in class yesterday. It was a pretty good movie, up until the ending. I enjoyed the bravery of the boys as they finally stood up for themselves. I also like Robin Williams, who played his part near to perfect. I liked the flute music in their production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was a peaceful bit there, and I didn’t want to mess it up. no problem, the guy next to me did. He shouted, “Hey, that flower thingy (Wreath) is GAY!” There was a big silence, while the character Neil played Puck to the finest points. I nearly cried at the end, which was so sad…I won’t spoil it for you, but it was sad. There was a big debate over if it was Mr. Keating’s indirect or direct fault for Neil’s suicide. Let me tell you, I had a fun debate with my class mates. I wish we still had debate, but it’s gone. Sad budget cuts. Anyway, summary: A good movie, with some great morals (Our class’ were, Stand Up For Yourself, and Money Isn’t Everything) I didn’t like the ending, but I guess no one did. That’s about it.

Well, the weather outside is getting better, and that’s good. It’s been nice out, and that’s been good. I’m distracted by the TV, which is telling us all about the seven people who fell asleep in Air Traffic Control Towers. Don’t you think that since it’s your job, you would make the effort to stay awake. I know I would. You can sleep in the morning, just make an effort to help the people who are on the medical flights to land. Jeez.

Well, the stomach is rumbling. I gotta go,

IFair, Tornadoes, and Stand Up Teenage Comedians

Hello, people, fellow bloggers, assorted parents/relatives!

Yesterday was an interesting day. ( I know I say that a lot, but it really was)

We went to the IFair, an engineering convention where lots of engineers come together to teach us about how wonderful it would be, to become an engineer. I went around, chatted with people, etc. The goal of this convention was to get 6 stickers by talking to a person who would give you a sticker if they thought your questions were smart enough. I had 5 stickers, and went over  to this guy at the Whitewater College desk. I attempted conversation:

Me: Hi, please, tell me why I should go here.

IT geek: Ummm, because it’s really smart?

Me: Why else?

IT geek: Ummm, because I went there, ummmm three years ago, ummmmm and it’s a good school if you like computers. You DO like computers, right? (Gives me a strained looks while wiping his nose with every “ummm”)

Me: Sure, computers, I love computers (Not really, our computer is kinda slow when it’s cranky)

He continues on for about 2o minutes, and I ask all the questions I can with his limited conversational skills. Guess what. He didn’t give me a sticker! I went across to the guy at some IT college, and he says right to me, “Hey, you look like you need a sticker, some candy, and a backpack” He was right. Loaded up on goodies, I’m guessing he was fielding all the kids who lost out on sticker from him. Never again will I even think of Whitewater.

Much to my surprise (Not really) it was weather week at our school. We had a “Tornado” warning, so we had to go down to the first floor and stick our noses in the wall. We did this for about 15 minutes and then went back. Our drill finished, but the girl next to me only found out it was a drill right then and there. She had been weeping softly. I didn’t know what to say, so I went back to our Probability tests (Bo-ring) No offense, but I’d rather keep my nose near the wall.

Well, yesterday was our final full practice for the talent show. My act was fine, just a little short, but that’s not the focus of today. Let me start off : We have one stand up comedian named Noah, who was in the Musical we put on (He was the smart pig) decided he was funny enough to try out. From what I hear(I wasn’t there) he was funny with some really funny stuff and some really horrible stuff. Well, he thought he was so funny, that he took all the funny stuff out and just did his own jokes (Which were horrible) and failed. Ms. Goggins must have  seen this, because she sent Collin up onto the stage to just go and be Collin. He went up, tapped the microphone, and just made everyone laugh. If it wasn’t for Noah, I’m pretty sure he would get his own act. Anyway, he’ll be funny, please come to our talent who, yada yada,

I gotta go, gotta pack my stuff for the day.

Around the Internet: Lady Gaga, Cute Penguins, and Super Fails

Hello, people!

Today is the first sunny day in ages. I wonder if it’s warm outside or not. Anyway, let’s start:

Lady Gaga’s new song, “Born this Way” is facing accusations of plagiarism. Many people even say it’s a blatant rip off of Madonna’s “Express Yourself”. When asked in an interview about these claims, Lady Gaga was furious. It was about time she had a diva tantrum. Here’s what she said:”What a completely ridiculous thing to even question me about… If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression. It’s the same one that’s been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I’m the first (expletive) artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn’t mean I’m a plagiarist, it means that I’m (expletive) smart. Sorry.” She went through the five stages of melodrama, starting with anger, desperation, jealousy, tears, and cursing. She then went on to say that God gave her these lyrics, not youtube.

She added: “I feel like, honestly, that God sent me those lyrics and that melody. When you feel a message to give to the world and people are shooting arrows through it – there’s no way for something that pure to be wrong.” So she thinks her songs are pure now? Did any of you guys see the music videos for her hits like Poker Face and Bad romance? Neither of those are even close to pure. Perhaps I’m wrong, maybe she did get them from God, but for now, I think it was time she had a breakdown. I mean, all stars do, don’t they? Eventually. Anyway, next up:

Cookie, the little penguin at the Cincinnati zoo is getting a lot of views on youtube. I have to thank the Mom-bot for this video (Thanks Mom) because it’s really cute. I freaked out while writing this because at the end of the video, he starts screeching and I thought my computer was dying! (Not really) Anyway, watch it for yourself, he’s like the pure incarnate of cuteness:

Anyway, lets keep moving:

I have started to devote a little more reading time in the world to see how silly some people really are. Here’s a few examples, from around the Internet:

Client: “Oh, okay.”

I have dad to thank for a wonderful morning. Making chicken last night was fun, and using a glass to tenderize the meat was fine, but when you get the same glass the next morning and it’s covered in dry chicken bits, the good mood ends. Fate? I don’t know. I did, however, find some tasty Passover Approved food in the fridge, which made my day better. Oh well, time to go enjoy the sunshine, please coment, visit my blog, yadayadyadayadyadyadadyadyad…(yawn)

Super Fails of the Week: The End of the World, Sarah Palin, and The Beast

Well, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?

Let’s smooth out with the Super Fails of the Week/Weekend. First off, ending the world as we know it? Nope. We’re still here. Harold Camping had a theory that he had cracked the “Code of the Bible” and that it told him that the world would end on Saturday night at six o ‘clock, and that all the believers would be taken into heaven and the sinners would remain here on earth, to await 2012, where we’ll all die. Sadly, nothing happened. Some clouds moved over, but that was it. Now everyone’s turning to Camping. Where’s heaven? Huh? Either that or we’re all sinners. Hmmm. Not buying it. We’re all still here. Now we just have to wait for 2012, and then we’ll all SURELY die then. Well, let’s have a great year, but the next subject isn’t helping.

Sarah Palin was burned when one of her former aides released a book talking all about those little skeletons in the closet. It was funny to read a summary. Apparently, she fired someone because someone did somethings that had something to do with her brother in law divorcing Palin’s sister. Messy, huh? Well, not going into details, I’m sure a few of you will read the book. Tell me how it is.

Two words: The Beast. What else is seven tons heavy and has more protection then a bomb shelter? Obama’s limo. Well, normally, this limo wouldn’t bring too much attention to the world, but something happened. It got stuck. Here’s a video. Basically, the Irish public patiently waited for Obama’s limo, and is just about to drive by when the cheers turn into groans as a loud -clang- is heard, and the limo slams to a halt. Bet that was awkwrd, especially when everyone’s watching you, huh? Awwwwwwkwarrrrrddd.

Well, that’s it for now. Enjoy your day, people, drive safe, and watch out for those zombies the CDC made us more aware of. -shiver-

Washington DC, Osama Bin Laden, and Summer Days Part 1

Hey, people, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?

Today’s post is the first in a while, and there’s not much I can blame that on except maybe human laziness. Anyway, here’s the post:

As some of you know, Lily and I went on a school trip to Washington DC and Colonial Williamsburg. Let me just say, it was one of my favorite trips ever. We saw everything you could ever see. Everyone took a monument walk at night on the second night, and it was a lot of fun. We spent two days in Colonial Williamsburg and three days in DC. One of my favorite places to go was the World War II memorial:

We went there at night, so it was prettier. Our of all the monuments we went to (Almost all) This one was my favorite.

Even though we had a WONDERFUL trip, the day we landed in DC was the exact day the news broke that Osama Bin Laden was dead. It was weird to see guys with machine guns all over, but it was still okay.

Yesterday was sunny, and ho. Today, I wish it were the same. It’s kinda cold out, and i have to cut this post short, sadly, because my public education awaits. Bye!

And I Thought I Was Crazy……

Hello, people!

Sadly, it’s a cold yucky day outside, so here I am typing again. Well, kudos to Loanda for finding this video for me. She gets all the credit. Here it is:

The subject is a little nine year old girl from Dublin. She’s either off her rocker, or is very serious. What scares me is that I don’t know which. Here it goes:

(Note, it’s audio, so have your speakers/headphones on, and cell phone readers, you better watch this)

They keep passing the phone from one another over and over again, trying to see if the girl is serious. Also, that nasty bit about the teachers. We all hate extra homework on a weekend, but murdering your teachers isn’t going to fix that, and you’ll just get new ones. Sigh.

Next up, a picture.

Google Troll - You Have to Put it in the Oven

I don’t know, what would happen if I poured self raising flour on an orphan? Do we even still have orphans, technically?

Random stuff from the intertube never fails to amaze me. Next:

CALL CENTER | GLASGOW, UK

(I work at directory inquiries.)

Me: “Which name, please?”

Caller: “I’d like the number for the local fire station.”

Me: “Searching for you now.”

Caller: “Can you hurry up? My kitchen’s on fire.”

Me: “Sir, hang up right now and then dial emergency services!”

Caller: “Hold on.” *he’s away for over a minute* “Right, I’ve got a pen and paper now. What was the number?”

I had my first soccer game yesterday. It was all muddy, and it was raining and cold. So much fun. We lost, but I still had fun. Lily had another double header softball game yesterday. Jake went swimming. All in all, a very healthy day.

Have you ever thought someone was crazy? I have. Share your experiences in the comments (Because hardly anyone comments anymore)

P.S Here’s something else:

………Uh Oh

Hello, fellow interdweebs, iphone adictees, etc, I’ve got news. Big news.

Apparently, our deaths have been rescheduled. Remember Crazy Old Harold Camping? He said he made a mistake. We weren’t actually supposed to die in May. (No way!?)Now we get to die in October. (Oh yay!) For all of you with Summer Birthdays, you’re welcome. Now you get to celebrate one more year mark before we’re all shoved down into h-e-double hockey sticks (WordPress censors) Anyway, October isn’t all that far from December, when we’re also supposed to die. Since it’s pretty close together, can we choose? Maybe the believers have a schedule we can just ask for a later date? I would like to enjoy a few extra months free of the “Believers” and their stupid ads. Did I tell you what we saw them do in Washington? They were nearly stalking kids just to get them to “believe”. Even Mrs. Laubenheimer was a little creeped out. in other news……..

Today is Memorial day, and it’s supposed to be sunny. We’re in the middle of starting to paint our room, which means stripping the wallpaper and sanding. This has taken awhile, (We’re on day two) and we’ve only cleared one wall. If it’s 90 degrees out, then we’re allowed outside. Let’s see, I’d like to thank Zuzu for her amazing comment about the erase the r word bands.  And here’s  random video we made last weekend, and plese just skip to three minutes, because it’s kinda messed up.

Can you guess who’s who?

Gotta go,

Why I Hate Writer’s Block

Hey, people.

Ever pick up a book you can’t put down? Ever watch a movie you want to see again and again? And, finally, when you want to write about it, nothing seems to look right? I’m in the middle of my fourth draft, trying to figure out which one would work. Eventually, I’ll pick one, right? I hope. Blogging is usually very easy for me. It doesn’t say I am a good writer, but it says I don’t have a problem opening up. Very frustrating. Let’s try and get some news through.

We’re in the middle of painting our room, and it’s going great. It’s been a week, and we’ve gotten one wall almost done. We’re out of school, so no worries there.

We watched I Am Number Four last night, and it was an awesome movie. For a person who usually reads books before watching the movie, it paired nicely with the set storyline. Four and half stars. Picking up random books this last week, the subjects ranging from Zombies to Angels to Demons. Oddly enough, a new title popped out at me, though it might have helped that it was bright orange. Dante’s inferno. I know, weird, right? I started it, and I’m on the sixth (Circle?) Chapter, and it’s weird. I’ll let you know what I think later, but it’s in the working. A very creepy book though. Well, the TV is calling me, so I gotta go,

Birthdays, Inheritance, and Cheesecake

Hey, people!
Sorry for the gap in posting- I’ve been waiting to post this one.
As most of you know, yesterday was Lily and Yours truly’s birthday. We turned 30, obviously. The celebration was awesome. Dad took us out to the Cheesecake Factory, and I practically died at the separate menu they had for all the cheesecake.
I had the red velvet cheesecake, which was to die for. Lily had the chocolate mousse.
I just got the last Eragon Book- I literally got it last night- and I’ve been reading it for a few hours straight here or there. I’m so excited to finish the story. Here’s a picture of the marvelous cover:
(Put somewhere else on the blog)
Anyway, If I’m correct, you just got a separate email of the picture. Stupid wordpress. Sorry.
I had the leftover cheesecake after lunch yesterday, and all I can say is YUM.

Well, I have things to do (Like finishing a certain book)
Have a great week, everyone!
